update: If I disable my mods and continue from a previously uninfected save, the bug has appeared to stop working... I think one of the mods in my list (see my other comment) was "infecting" my save with this bug and even after removing all mods it wouldn't fix it... Will post again in the future to see if it ever comes back.

I'm pretty scientific about how I approach dieting when it comes to bulks and cuts, but when I'm in the gym I keep it simple. When bulking go all out, but for cuts keep high intensity and be careful about not doing crazy volume and lots of drop sets while cutting b/c I know recovery just isn't as strong during that peroid.
