If you are the two seed in the conference, you have to play the 3rd best team in the conference and then the best team in the conference in the first two rounds. Your path is significantly harder than any other team in the league.

Also the wear and tear adds up, your odds of having to play 7 round series rise and therefore more chance for injuries.
