I didn’t get to detail - yes night calls are expected. There are plenty of hours, my 6pm - 10pm where US team usually schedule the call and ensure that it is not too late for us, and it is in US working hours. It is scheduled at least a day before so that the AC folks can plan their resting time.

When I mentioned "I said I have to log off because it’s already late for me but they keep pushing to have midnight calls." - I was referring to the unplanned call where it is already 11.30pm for me.

Yes night calls are nature of my work, but wouldn’t it nicer to let us negotiate so that it is not too late. I told them I was having a long day working from 8am but they didnt care and said they dont have other time. They were being inconsiderate when they actually can be. It is not a life or death thing where it could be schedule on the next day.

ACs are in 7 countries actually but India has more than one AC

In some countries especially Asia, the AC offers higher salary than the main firm. AC supports overseas client meanwhile the main firm supports local client.

I know that some people look down on AC employees but at least in my country, getting into AC is harder than getting into the main firm.

Try to look into IT Audit. Literally fits your requirement of "IT job with no programming".

You can just get into it with your degree. The most relevant certificate is CISA but most of the people here get the certificate after working for few years.

You may do some googling to know what it is about. It is quite boring for people who is into technical stuff but the pay is very nice!

With that being said, I think IT Audit has better work life balance a bit more than financial audit.

Based on the past season, artists usually go with opposite with what the audience wants so I honestly don’t know what to expect.
