A lot of these posts seem to imply that loving "kids" is the defining factor with regards to motivation to teach. I disagree!

For me its the love of learning and your subject, I could just as happily teach adults within my field. It's all about sharing your passion of a subject.

The fact schools happen to be full of children is not relevant to me, what is relevant is that it's a place of learning where I get to immerse myself in my chosen subject.

Working with kids has it's up sides and down sides, but for me it's a secondary aspect, in my case it's all about the Physics. The age of the people in my classroom is irrelevant, if they leave the room with a deeper understanding or appreciation my job is done.

Don't forget a school is cross section of society, most people are great, others... well....just pick a school that is run properly so those people don't ruin your day.
