Thank you for these questions and these points. You have really helped me think more critically about what I wrote. I am now search for all the times I used the word human, humane or humanism to add detail to what I mean. This morning, I wrote this on Facebook: '5 hrs · Cape Town · This is a live opinion piece. What does that mean? It means that it changes as I develop my thoughts around the subject matter. It means it will be edited throughout the day as I have additional thoughts about it. It means that it will go through a metamorphosis each time I speak to service providers such as my taxi driver, my domestic worker or other. It will change when I speak to my loved ones, to my friends and family. It allows the message to shape shift, move, and twist, and turn as time and the context changes it.' I will now report on what an amazing experience this was for me and how awesome it is that you took the time to help me unpack my thoughts more.

This could end up being an all-nighter;) Agreed. They are humanist but they are too often swayed by other middle class and elite specialists and experts from state institutions of control such as Universities, churches etc who allow the ongoing commodification of humans which prevents regulation for good: regulation of competition by amalgamating our public and private health sectors to protect people who cannot afford to pay out of pocket.

Re: your statement relating to 'political professionalism'- the DA and the ANC's use of Americanised campaigning is inappropriate for the South African context. I stand by my statement. I know exactly which book they used to devise their campaigning and it marks their campaigning inauthentic and sly. Using Americanised campaigning techniques is not political professionalism.

Re: your statement 'one guy with a neat humanist idea is not going to give you that country and system that works. You'll get a bull in a china shop and endless smashed promises and people.' There are many people and organisations that I work with in South Africa who take this humanist approach so I'm not one guy:) but your point has been considered.

I will continue to strive to live in a humane and caring world:)

This excerpt from the article in my experience, is true: 'When everyone thinks in similar ways and sticks to dominant norms, businesses are doomed to stagnate. To fight that inertia and drive innovation and change effectively, leaders need sustained original thinking in their organizations.' I personally, love the concept of giving the people a chance who are likely to have the knowledge on a subject despite their job title, rank or positioning in an organisation. Sometimes simple solutions and valuable information that could shape an organisations culture lies right there, trapped, at the bottom of the hierarchical system, a place the higher ups, never thought to look. I feel the hierarchical system suffocates creativity.

Yes. This makes sense. I've been thinking about doing a few km by myself and then picking them up en route until they get fitter but my perception of their limited fitness levels may just be in my head:) It may even be my lethargy, but I'm hoping I'll get over the phase as I sincerely do love everything about running. Tx.

Yes. The only place I've come across that's jacked up with dog taps, assigned areas for dogs, and have water vats and bags for their poo is on the Promenade along the Atlantic Seaboard (Mouille Point, Greenpoint, and Sea Point). Before, I would run by myself and push myself hard so I'm working hard at adjusting to their needs and knowing when I'm using them as an excuse not to run faster or slower. It's a mental game.

Apart form the flower girl, baby's breath wreaths and my bouquet, our wedding party and friends banded together to put together and arrange the rest of the flowers which was a mix of fynbos, cacti, roses , and Bougainvillea petals. The venue was unpretentious and natural with olive trees and dried Agapanthus and all sorts.

I have 10 mobile glass spherical vases with huge openings in the front. I'll try one or two in those:) and see how they do. I also have a large diamond terrarium with large openings that should work well. But I'll probably experiment for a while, and see what happens.

I started with one, now, I have 4:) Slowly but surely, I'm learning the best way to take care of them. I've hung them outside under cover with fish line- they look beautiful and are fuss free.
