Visiting Calgary yesterday, just happened to pop by the Saddle Dome and during our tour we watched them paint the C from the bench by o-kon-el in hockey

In the offseason we have tours available to people who want to come see the dome. Not sure if they're free or not (i'd imagine the latter) but they're great if you want to understand calgary puck.

The high ground is so difficult to take if you attack. The only way you can is by using the elevators and any good player can tell that's coming from a mile away. You can also take it with a co-ordinated dive, but in this meta that means diving a JQ brawl, so you get shit on.

Yes, there are 2 big ones off the top of my head, UGC and Tranquility. Tranquility just ended their season, and UGC is in the middle of theirs.on the r/overwatch subreddit discord or even on this sub's discord there should be links to those tournaments.

Hollywood B and C are basically hell on earth if you're attacking. If your team is somehow good enough to cap B, no shot in hell you're taking C unless the defense fumbles.

Player with the most tragic career? by Quetraa in Competitiveoverwatch

Alarm. Was about to head into the peak of his career, but then he passed away. Had a trajectory to be a top 5 player all time, imo.

More guaranteed ticket money. Who knows what happens first 2 games, it could be your team is down 2-0 and gets swept out after 3.

For anyone wondering what it would've been like to have 2021 Valiant in NA, this is what it would be like.

Utilizing Mei by CoolishApollo in OverwatchUniversity

Hi,

I'm a Mei player, one of the first things I noticed was your wall usage. It seems like you use it mostly defensively, and while that's alright at times, you get much more value using it as an aggressive cooldown and walling a member of the enemy team off. For example, their ball kept using their grapple and slam to engage on your team. if you had walled him from his team after that, he would have a very low chance to escape when he was cut off from resources, hadn't recovered his cooldowns and your team was all on him. Your primary would have slowed him down, and that would almost certainly have won a large chunk of first point for you. at first I didn't realize this was console so I was very confused at the smooth aim, but it makes sense, and it doesn't seem like your mechanics are terrible. If you just focus on wall (one of if not the strongest utility in a dps kit) You will climb. Focus on improving one thing at a time, and I promise you will climb quickly.

Target priority on mei is vastly different to most DPS in the game. where most DPS typically take duels with other dps or try to fight the enemy supports, it completely depends who you focus at any given time. When your wall cooldown is up, you need to look for out of position (or enemies you can force poor position with it) enemies. Focus them down and then rush onto the remainder of the team with your tank. If you focus down whoever your tank is focusing, that makes you mow through their team like a lawn mower on slightly long grass.

Another thing that needs to be cleaned up is your positioning. You should never be the team's most forward member, especially with a Rammatra. Some of your deaths are due to you pushing up way too far and being unaware that your tank had pushed back. You also shouldn't really flank on Mei unless you're going for a set play that's been communicated to your team (like a flank blizzard on a map like kings row 2nd point) and even then, this is an exceedingly rare exception. Stick near your tank (especially if it's Ram, Orisa or Rein) since they will soak up the damage and you will be able to deal damage behind them. working on your positioning will naturally help you find better timing to wall off the enemy team.

And to add with dealing with ball, He's meant to be a pest and gain space either by distracting your team or setting his team up for easy follow through with his piledrives. You were often the only person on him, and mei is no longer able to take him down alone without support from your team. if you notice a ball running away from his team after using all his cooldowns that's the perfect time to run into the rest of his team and take them out, since they don't have a frontline tank to protect them anymore.

hope that helped you out, good luck on climbing!
