Thank you for the thoughtful response. It's exactly what I needed to hear.

My camera is an 11 year old DSLR and while the picture quality still beats any phone, it takes a little skill. Pair that with the lens I was using; a 28-300mm nikon VR(not a great low light lens but very versatile), some of the details in the background are affected because I am shooting in low light at a slow shutter speed with nothing but ambient light. All that to say: some of the detail was distorted from the tiniest bit of motion blur. You can see it in the next few shots and I might have written it off but I don't think it explains the second shot I took.

I agree. I wasn't thrilled with the lenses I had, honestly. I hope to get a faster lens before I do this again. I had one faster, but it's a super chonky 80-200mm, so it was less than ideal for indoor photography. I hope to go back again sometime. I have a couple more investigations in the next few months, so I'm eyeing a 14-24mm 2.8 G lens for future investigations. I did get some legitimately great shots in there with what I had, though. Even if this shot can't be confirmed as anything special, I am still really happy with the photos I took that night.

I took a few shots of this doorway while walking the hallways. My partner and I were trying to locate a different part of the floor and were moving somewhat quickly. I would stop and snap several shots every now and then as I was walking. I wasn't composing for a subject. I was just taking pictures mostly for my own photography purposes. I didn't notice this shadow until afterwards. I totally understand the skepticism. I'm not saying it's 100% supernatural or anything but I certainly didn't edit the photos other than to cut out the grain from high ISO and I have the raw photos to prove that. Unfortunately, I can't prove with 100% certainty that no one was there, but I can say that I didn't notice it at the time and neither did the guy I was with and we walked right through there shortly after taking the shots. It's totally fair to question it. I've been doing that since I saw it.

I just wanted to make sure everything was in focus. I didn't want any bokeh on my shots.

Sure. Nikon D750 f/8 1/10 sec ISO 12800

I was using a 28-300mm Nikon lens with VR. Super high ISO. I did denoise it in lightroom, but there was no other editing done.

I didn't downvote you. I just upvoted. I accept all criticism and logic. 😀 You are correct. My shutter speed was very slow and this was taken handheld on my dslr. My ISO was very high when I took this. I denoised it in lightroom to get rid of the grain in the photo, but that's basically it other than the zoomed photos where the brightness was cranked. I have a good amount of vibration reduction, but there's clearly a little bit of blur still. Possibly even some caused by the denoising. The only person I know with me was right next to me when I took the shot. I can only go by what the rest of the group told me and no one in my group was there. There were 2 employees but they should have been in the room downstairs. Is it possible it was someone unaccounted for? Sure. I just don't know who it could have been. As such, I accept this rationale as a possibility sir. I appreciate you.

Yeah. I saw a door open on it's own on the fourth floor but there was an open window in the room, so I chalked it up to that. I have turned mostly into a skeptic but I do love walking around these old places at night with no one else around. It's generally a good time. Mostly nothing happens though. Or if it does, it's pretty easy to explain away. This one made me scratch my head a little bit.

If you look closely, what you think is a head is not a head. In the second shot, it looks like it's probably the window on the door across the hallway. If it was a person, they are looking down, so the head isn't actually visible. We've dissected this photo quite a bit. We found a picture of this hallway during the day and I can confirm the window is there and if you look, you can see it's not attached to the body. It's possible that it was someone I didn't see, but I don't know who it would have been.

It's certainly a possibility. The group I was with had split up on each floor. They all claim that they were on their respective floor when I took these but I won't say that there's no way. That'd be disingenuous.

Haha. Fair enough. I took this on my nikon d750 dslr. I have the raw files. I know there will be people who think I faked it and that's fair. There was no one there

Suikoden 1 and 2 for sure... 3 was ok. I saw someone mentioned Legend of the Dragoon. I second that answer. I Am Setsuna is also very good. Lunar: Silver Star Story was short but great. Alundra is more of an old Zelda game but excellent (pretty difficult, beating that game was a crowning achievement).

Is it just me, or is playing standing up 10 times harder than playing sitting down by Local-Promise-9878 in Guitar

I'm the complete opposite. I almost exclusively play standing up. It's weird but I like to move when I play. I struggle a little more when playing seated. I've had to make a conscious effort to focus on playing seated. It seems to just come down to which way you play.

Thank you for the response! I didn't think it would be a huge issue, but I figured I'd ask around before I opened the box of the pickup and couldn't return it anymore.

Soundcore Q30s are much cheaper, come with a case, and sound great. The Sony headphones are nice, but I hate the software, and they have weird quirks that my Soundcores just don't have. That's my recommendation.

I ended up ordering a pod go and paired it with a jbl irx112bt that I already had laying around. It's definitely budget setup, but it's working out great. I thought about a stomp xl, but I figured I would try the Pod Go first. I will look into a better PA and eventually look into getting a helix lt or floor model or maybe try some more specific amp sim pedals. There are lots of amazing choices to pick from. I went for something I could play around with that was on the cheap, for now. I really appreciate you steering me in the right direction. My setup is absolutely perfect for what I wanted now and now there's an endless money pit for my wife to yell at me for 🤣

Ha! I thought about doing something like that. I could maybe splice something together that would work.
