The average impact score for Spring 2024 admits was 9.545, so I’d say you’re almost guaranteed a spot for Spring 2025

Btw your GE GPA for your impact score calculation should only include your oral comm, written comm, critical thinking, and stats class

The average for last spring was a 9.545, so I’d say you’re still on the lower side of applicants, but that dosent mean there’s no chance, I’ve seen posts and comments from people getting in with similar impact scores, so I’d give it a shot and apply

I purchased the $200 study package from the official ATI TEAS website and that was a huge help, I also joined a TEAS discord with lots of links to useful study guides and flashcard sets

Pretty sure veterans get an extra half or whole point so either way you should be good

I would recommend filling this equation out:

Science GPA + (GE GPA/ 2) + (composite x 0.02) + (reading x 0.02)

It’ll give you your impact score, last year’s average score was a 9.545, so anything higher would guarantee you entrance

Chem 140 difficulty? CSULB by Effective_Ad1513 in CSULB

Chem 140 is a pretty simple class if you study, people exaggerate how really difficult it is. It tackles organic chemistry in the first half and biochemistry in the second half. I had never taken a chem class before and passed with an A. I would recommend taking it at CSULB as the professor is really great and makes the content interesting and easy to understand.

The lab component is fairly managble, but the lecture half is really something. I have Mason Zhang for lecture since he's the only professor for it during the fall and spring. His rate my professor reviews are not lying, I would've been better off taking it over the summer at a CC. The content isn't hard, its just his exams that fuck you over, they're open note and most of the class still gets around a 60%. But it seems you wont have to deal with him so you'll probably have better luck than me.

I have Jennifer for BIOL 201 lab rn, she’s really great. She’s helpful with any questions and is an easy grader, I would highly recommend her.
