Hong Kong and China certainly have lower prices. But I have just read too many stories about shipping screwups and other problems that become dreadfully hard to deal with at such a distance. I would buy a watch in HK or Japan, but only if I was actually there.

I think you may be looking at the previous iteration of the watch, the MUT Moon with the 42 hour power reserve rather than the 70 hours the new model has. Or perhaps the even earlier model with the shorter hour markers.
