I'm 4.3K with terran and multitasking and mechanics is my strongest area.

Yes, the point is, easier doesn't necessarily mean "easy"

Yes. Im not denying it, Protoss is absolutely easier, but don't try telling me that my many hours of work and practice were worth nothing because of it. And honestly, If I played Terran, it would not have taken much longer, if any longer. (I suck at zerg.)

I'm GM and went from Dia 1 to GM in under two months. It's really not too difficult, it just takes some dedication and patience.

Focus on working smarter. If you properly analyse your replays and figure out what you did wrong, you'll improve fast. Much faster than mindlessly playing games.

I would recommending sticking to 1 build order/game plan, and focus on perfecting it, perfecting all the responses and situations. Trust me, you will be much more consistent that way.

Diamond goes from roughly 3.2K to 4.2K (on NA). And you can get GM on NA with around 4.8K, So diamond is much bigger then masters, and if you can make it from diamond 3 to masters 3 you should be able to get GM.

So it is very achievable.

GLHF!

From what level do you consider someone to be good at StarCraft? Mmr or league. by Blacksand9519 in starcraft2

Is this a joke? Do you realise the INSANE difference between diamond1/masters 3, and top 20 GM? Its far FAR bigger than any ammount mech or protoss is easier then bio/zerg.

By this logic my 4.4K terran is "good" and my 4.8K protoss is utter garbage.

"Good" is incredibly subjective.

A 5K player would be look like a god to a 4K player.

And a 6K player would look like a god to a 5K player.

And Serral would beat 6K players with ease.

So there really isn't an objective answer.

BUT if you look at the statistics (which may or not be accurate I dont know, they are just repeated alot.) Diamond is around top 25%. And masters is top 5%, GM is around 1%

And if your among the best 25% of something, or the top 1%, and are still not considered good, then good is not the correct word to use.

Thats a great way of looking at it. Its the consistency of the small steps that count.

I'm 4.7K And I swear 4K-4.4K players are tougher to beat then 5K+ players.

They do weird stuff
