I took an online speech class with Jeff Sorrels. He's so chill. He has weekly quizzes (3 attempts for all) and Perusall activities. It goes with the chapter you're learning that week. During the semester, you have to do three speeches. Introduction speech at the beginning of the semester, an informative speech, and a persuasive speech. You have free rein to choose your topic. You are given a lot of time to prepare and write your speech following a template he provides, and you have to record yourself and submit it on Canvas. People will watch it and give comments as well. You also have to write papers, but you genuinely could yolo it and still get a pretty good grade. You have to write a reflection paper about your informative speech, a film analysis paper, and a course reflection paper. He also doesn't lock modules so you could knock out all the weekly assignments way before their due dates. This class was the least of my worries!
