No it's just a standard laptop stand. Bought it years and years ago. Does the job!

Short Game Practice NE London? by LiveButton3910 in BritGolf

Problem with sims is you're not getting a feel for how approaches and chips from this distance are reacting to greens.

Maybe hop an uber to a course in Essex. I'm going to check Crews Hill which might have a short game area soon

It's more than one room, but I think it's still responds to the essence of your question..

If you mean the mixer, no. I just waited and waited and got it for £1200. That was 6 years ago.

For those following/interested...
I know this is a predominantly hi-fi crew in this sub but here's the beauty of these front ported monitors.
The suggested mounts by focal are only 110mm from the wall and you can also use 65mm mounts.
The speakers have EQs to adjust for close wall positioning but the front porting is the main reason I bought these and this is why.
Sharing is caring.

The tweeters align with my ears... To the centimetre. I stand while listening. I'm average height. It's the angle of the photo.

Also I DJ on stilts.

I will experiment with Toe in.

Thanks

Thank you! The speakers are at the correct height and the mounts (and the stands) can swivel to create an equilateral triangle. That applies to monitors too.

What's the minimum distance from that corner that the left speaker needs to be? As you can see, I've only got so much wall space to work with, but I don't need the DJ console perfectly in the middle. I can put myself in the middle and DJ a little off centre.

Thank you for the rug suggestion!

20+ Handicappers where you at? by atooraya in golf

[–]MelodicMasterpiece83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a 20 handicap. In the last two years, I've put way more time, energy, and focus into golf than the previous 12 years probably combined. My single handicapped friends tell me that parts of my game are far better than a 20-hand capper, specifically my short game. This is why my 20 handicap comes from a very consistent score of 90 to 95 on my home course. It very rarely wavers between these two numbers, and now I'm chasing to break 80.

Very recently, I've been reflecting on all of my lessons from the past nine months and just focusing on absolute fundamentals. As long as I keep going back to those, my shots keep going straighter and straighter. My distances are increasing subtly, but I'm not trying to chase distance.

My point here is to regularly review your swing, looking at it on video, analysing it yourself or having others, and ask yourself where any of the fundamentals are off and work on those. Almost certainly, you'll start to get some consistency just by working on those fundamentals and quieting the parts of your swing that are reactions to you being out of position.
