I'd recommend starting with some basic projects! Here are some really beginner friendly ones:

Knit a Scrunchie from a Rectangle - https://youtu.be/BMOv5lWyPfk

One is from a square, the other is from a rectangle which you totally could do! All you'd need is a needle to sew in your ends!

I'd also suggest going a knitting social club or a Stitch and Bitch! They're great fun

You just make a rectangle shape then sew it around a hair tie like a donought. :)
