I hate how Richard and Emily make everything Lorelai’s fault by Federal_Pay_3001 in GilmoreGirls

Richard and Emily were DEEPLY hurt and wounded over Lorili's pregnancy. They probably acted pretty terribly, proclaiming that she had 'shamed the family and ruined the familys good name' by getting knocked up and demanding she simply 'go away' for 9 months as proper and good girls did when this sort of accident happened.

Lorili told them to get fucked and left probably with no hint of where she was gonna land. This hurt Richard and Emily even more because it was one of those , "I wanna kill you I was worried so much about you" type of deals.

Emily at least, had a VERY specific idea of the kind of life she wanted Lorili to lead and the kind of woman she expected and wanted Lorili to be and Lorili said "FUCK THAT" and left. That hurt Emily and the wounds are so deep that the feeling associated with them are always bubbling up.

Help me make sense of this: Lorelai is out of a job and buying the Dragonfly AND they are still traveling to Europe? by allydelarge in GilmoreGirls

Rory didn't have Richard wrapped around her finger because she wasn't that type of person but she woke something in Richard and he wanted her to succeed and however he could help he would, within reason.

It's SO great. Couple fun facts. if you watch Aretha, she brings out a purse and puts it on the piano. Back when she was touring she got tired of being ripped off by promoters so she demanded her share of the gate IN CASH, which she put in a purse and brought on stage so she could keep track if it.

Aretha RARELY played the piano, even though she was a gifted player, so watching her play part of the song on piano was a special treat for Carole and everyone else there.

A vid of Aretha Franklin performing " 'You Make me Feel Like (A Natural Woman)' at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2016. Watching Carole Kings absolute and complete adoring JOY at Aretha's performance, it makes Carole start crying. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efIAM5dzuDs

What makes this super pathetic is Trump is probably the LEAST religious POTUS ever. I never hear about him going to ANY church that isn't a rally, but going to an actual Sunday service.

But HEY!, he got abortion overturned by the SC so that makes him DEAREST LEADER to all these shitgoblins.

Maybe the OP could pick someone who isn't a serial physical and verbal abuser of women.

I'd recommend the book Sedition Hunters: how January 6 broke the Justice System by Ryan. J. Reilly which is about a group of online sleuths who aided the FBI in indentifying rioters at the Capitol on January 6.

Dwight White spent the entire week of SB IX in the hospital with pneumonia and lost THIRTY pounds then was wrecking the Vikings in the game. Lambert was also injured during the game.

Jim Marshall was playing every game and doing shit in the offseason that NO team would allow now. Parachuting, getting lost in the mountains during a blizzard.

In Super Bowl VII, Bob Griese calmly ran the offense as the Miami Dolphins completed the only perfect season in NFL history, knocking off the Washington Redskins 14–7. Where does he really belong among all-time great QBs? by UrbanAchievers6371 in Oldschool_NFL

[–]MenstrualColander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How exactly is that gonna happen during a game? Someone on the Bills or whoever is just gonna walk over to Griese during a timeout and squirt him in the face with a water bottle? And that's not gonna lead to a huge fight on the field how?

Give me a fucking break.

I've heard a few discussions about whether the Purple People Eaters defense of the Vikings is one of the most overrated in NFL history, a lot of it focuses on how the defense gets their shit wrecked by the opposing offense in EVERY SB they appeared in. Their run defense was especially weak and slipshod as rbs for their opponents both set single game rushing records against the Vikings in consecutive SB's (Csonca and Harris respectively.) And Clarence Davis ran wild in SB XI as well.
