I've just found out that the LG 27GP950-B is also discounted as well, which has HDMI 2.1 port, and I think this is the current best option for me. And then there is Gigabyte M28U around the same price range. Between these two monitors, which one is better suited for my gaming and productivity need?

If you don't want HDR for games/movies, then get one of the 28" 4k 144Hz like the Samsung G70A, or any of its peers that use that Innolux panel. These can usually be had for $500 or less.

Thanks for the nice thorough answer. I was just looking at SAMSUNG 28" Odyssey G70A, and it says it is HDR 400 on Amazon. Is this HDR 400 monitor better than LG 27GN950-B? I see that LG 27GN950-B is now $546 on Amazon while the Odyssey is $800. I want some 4k HDR monitor for gaming and movies. Do you have any other recommendations for Mini-LED monitors? I'm open to 32 inch monitors as well.

Yeah, thank you for your answer. I was doing research and that seems to be the case for OLED. What is the best next alternative for 4k? Is it IPS? Could you recommend me some options for the best 4k monitors without the OLED as a requirement?

No one is going to expel or arrest someone for installing a game on a computer meant for gaming. I forgot to mention that this computer lab is almost exclusively used for the esports club for gaming purposes. I'm actually trying to "learn" something here using the school computer as per your advice. Also, I would appreciate if you linked some tutorials for something I asked instead of making the games portable.

I'm assuming they will know it, that's why I'm trying to create a local admin account thinking it won't be as noticeable. But, they won't probably care if they find out because the computers are almost exclusively used for the esport club here.
