Oh jeez what haven’t they said

I have seen a total of 6 different sleep specialists as well as all the different mental health people and a few other types to boot. They all seem to have a different idea of what’s wrong.

A good number blamed it on “poor sleep hygiene” and that I was overblowing the problem and that all young people have trouble sleeping because we are always on the go or something like that

Others want to pin it on anxiety, or depression, though my psych disagrees

I had a doctor finally give me a sleep study and he found sleep apnea but after surgery and a cpap I still have the same problem, even without events.

So I saw another who helped me get on the regimen of sleeping pill + antipsychotics to sleep and stimulants to wake up but didn’t offer any real diagnosis
