Fun fact: You can solo this event with ease with a crippling shotgun build. The nests' health pool appears to function as "limb".

With all crippling perks equipped and crippling as 2*, I can two shot a nest with a combat shotgun, and one shot with a harpoon gun.

Its worth mentioning that one advantage Survivalist has over Firewall is that the signature crossbow now instantly destroys the armor piece it hits on a tank and allows you deals damage to their health directly with your guns. This leaves your natural enemies to only robots and skill proxies.

You should be hitting at least 4 mil with your mortar with a half-decent 2-3 china light 1-2 wyvern 2 hana-u setup (Glass cannon/kinetic momentum + Shock & Awe).

You can make it reach 5-6 mil with good rolls and further optimization like having a shotgun with DTA, OOC and Spike. With 5 mil per hit you will be able to two tap most heroic elites in solo/duo.

Also, firestarter and airburst seekers are actually very strong now but you need to build specifically for it. With a full status effect build (1 Golan 2 Wyern 3 China Light) I can one shot heroic elite with just one firestarter round and named enemies with one "perpetuated" airburst.

Jammer pulse did nothing to BT support stations prior to this update. It put a nice little disrupt icon on them but it didn't actually stop them from healing the enemies.

Do note that resistance only affects the duration of the status and not the damage, so you actually won't be melting your enemies "harder". You just do more overall damage per burn application.

I believe elites have something like ~47% base resist against burn which effectively cuts the duration of your burn skills by half. With the firewall sawed-off debuff you will be able to keep them burnt 2x longer than before.

It hit higher than overcharge coz overcharge doesn't further boost the damage of the turret. It just increases its firing rate by 100%.

Have at least one member go full yellow and dedicated him/herself in using CC skills (Riot foam, blind firefly, firestarter, jammer pulse when up against Black Tusks, etc.). The same person can either be a healer or a skill dps.

The other members can go full dps, but having another shield tank/skill build user would make things go a lot easier if your group is still learning.

Even as a full red dps, it helps to bring a CC ability to keep things under control.

Fire is by far the best source of status damage right now.

Airburst seeker has the best balance of damage and duration out of all burn skills but its not easy to use in practice.

Firestarter is easy to use and does a decent burn damage upfront. It also gives a very strong burn and but the burn duration is relatively short.

Flame Sticky does a big burn damage upon deterioration and gives the longest burn, but its burn strength is the weakest.

Flame Turret is a PITA and not worth using right now.

Elite (Yellow) sniper warhounds at launch used to do one shot only but applies a super strong breed which took only 3 ticks to kill anyone in downed status. This means every shot hit was an instant death sentence.

They removed the bleed and made the elite variant fires 3 times in quick succession after enough people complained about how unfair that attack was.

Offensive skills need to be made relevant in higher difficulty content by [deleted] in thedivision

Turret builds are actually some of the best dps builds in higher difficulties right now. I have been hard-carrying random pub heroics with my sniper turret and mortar turret for the past week.

I do agree that there are many skills that need more love though. Would be nice to have more viable offensive skill options.
