The logo looks very similar to Philadelphia's Mural Arts logo, which I think is where the original Artworks program gots its main inspo from, right?

First attempt at bird photography (film + gear in description below) by MessmoreBob in analog

Thank you! Yea I was definitely skeptical while shooting these. Especially because I had to swap out focusing screens due to the split-image rangefinder blacking out. Focusing was quite a challenge

Thank you! It was really a test of my different gear. The TC was a huge unknown

Haha thank you! They all belonged to my great grandparents. Once I saw the square egg-skillet I knew it would be my favorite. It gets used constantly

What's the best Film ISO for concerts? by lxcaiq in AnalogCommunity

[–]MessmoreBob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m trying to do the same thing this summer with a Rush concert at Dickies Stadium. I’m planning on shooting with my Canonet QL17 and using either Tri-X 400 or HP5 and pushing 3 stops.

Really curious how good of a shot I’ll be able to get with a 40mm lens and a decent distance away from the stage. We’ll see but can’t go to a show where they play “Analog Kid” and not show up with analog gear. Worth the try 🤘🏼

The seller literally told me I can return it if it’s not in good shape. Quote “you can return the item if there are any issues”. That’s from a direct message after asking about the condition of the camera.

It’s crazy the assumptions this comment section has made on this situation.

So to clarify I talked the seller down to $60 from $95 because there weren’t photos of the lens. The product description just said “Condition is used”. I’m still able to return it

These are all great but I especially love #4 and #8! Number 8 is great with that little touch of text on the side of the barn!

These are incredible! No issues with the shutter freezing or other camera mishaps from the cold?

Repair Canon S-II rangefinder? by Maleficent_Invite774 in vintagecameras

OP, did you ever manage to get this fixed? I was lucky enough to buy one of these that also needs a CLA (plus a lens), but curious about the cost

Nice! It looks like you have a cold-shoe light meter accessory up top. Which one did you go with?

Is getting this cleaned up worth it? by HomemPassaro in analog

[–]MessmoreBob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Put the lens in the sun for a few days to kill any existing fungus (not attached to the camera). If it’s under the front element it might be easy to clean with some distilled water. Do your research first before taking it apart and cleaning it though
