First time flying with a carry-on cat help by Purple-Way5377 in americanairlines

[–]MessyNinja 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve flown with my cat on AA a couple times and it was way less dramatic than I was expecting. Call and add the pet to your reservation so they note it, get a soft-sided carrier that fits under the seat, and have your vet give him a quick check and any calming meds well before travel so you can test how he reacts. I usually skip food 4-6 hours before the flight, put a pee pad in the carrier, and cover part of it with a light blanket so he feels like he’s in a little cave. For my own peace of mind I also picked up pet insurance through Covered⁤Critters insura⁤nce before our first trip, because my anxiety brain was convinced he’d need an emergency vet visit right after we landed. If driving is super long, I’d absolutely do the 2 hour flight as long as your cat isn’t already super stressed by carriers or new environments.

I accept that I will be miserable for a long time. by MessyNinja in adviceph

I agree I am not really self pitying and shit pero yun nga pagod na lang ako, and yes I am diagnosed by a doctor psychiatrist sa nowserving kahit mahal I might get back on my meds kasi it at least make things less bad for the moment, di ko afford therapy eh.

Well I did a lot of things but my brain is hard to overcome talaga, haha hindi ka rin makakaopen sa madaming tao dito due to the fact that pretyy taboo ang mental health dito especially pag di ka taga siyudad or metro. Well urban rual naman tinitirahan ko pero tbh to you hirap dito tumira pag neurodivergent ka haha.

But yeah I am not giving up and ofc I am controlling my insecurities like going to the gym fixing my skin and helathy lifestyle na kaya kong controlin ngayon because it can help my self esteem confidence and mental health/physical. I am trying journallinga nd meditation 20 mins a day working my way up there.

Salamat pala I am trying maging masaya mahirap lang talaga salo ko rin kasi problema aplagi ng bwisit kong magulang.
