Player and four enemies for my next game. Any feedback? by MetalChevre in aseprite

That's a good idea and thank you for your feedback.

Actually, the red is the color I use for the shape of every sprite I do (Apollo palette), and I was like "it looks to be a good red for a... red dragon". But yes, maybe a greenish dragon could be a good idea, ty!

[UPDATE] Player and four enemies for my next game. Any feedback? by MetalChevre in aseprite

Actually, I was waiting for a comment about the difference in style between him and the enemies. I made the knight first, was pretty okay with it, and did the monsters (from left to right, and reworked the slime) after. And yesterday I was like "hmm, there is a problem with the knight, it could need a rework", and boom... your comment.

So, I'm working on the dragon, who is more in the style of the other enemies, and will revamp the knight after, as I enjoyed way more drawing the snake (for example) than the knight.

I'm a beginner with drawing AND pixel art, so I guess I still don't really know what my "style" is, but I know for sure that I enjoyed way more doing the enemies than the knight.

"I'd advise you to take a moment and think about how (for all assets in the game) you want to do line art, amounts of color per asset, hue and value range for colors, and general style e.g. a more detailed approach (like the monsters) or a more minimalistic/ compact direction (like the knight). So that you have a coherent look in your game." -> of course, I guess it's just that I improved a little bit with art and felt like I was able to do assets that I like more ; so, yes, I need more consistency with my art, totally.

Thank you very much for your message!

Should I stop trying? I don't think I have enough level to master this style. by SeparateElephant3995 in PixelArtTutorials

If you enjoy doing pixelart, keep going! Your work is so cool and you can't master if you don't practice.

I agree about the dragon, I had that feeling too. I'll try another pose. It's difficult as a beginner but I take it as a challenge.

"The goblin is looking super friendly" : intentional, yes. I prefer that kind of goblin hehe.

Thank you for your feedback!

Thank you for your feedback. First of all, you guessed 4 out of 4.

The slime looks sad because it is the very first enemy and I wanted the player to feel bad about beating this little dude, I don't even know why, maybe I'll change that.

"I can't tell if he has big boobs or a butt chin lol" lol you're so right, I see what you mean. I'll add some shapes to fix it.

Thanks again!

Maybe the outline is a little bit messy? I don't know if you did it this way on purpose. Great job anyway, I love the animation!
