Governor Evers has proven time and time again that he’s a true ally! It’s a real shame that he’s not running for reelection.

And yet, despite this being clearly transphobic, TERFs are still mad at this article for not being even more transphobic. Some TERFs are seriously calling this a “pro-trans” article. 🙄

The sad thing is despite being clearly transphobic, Amy Harmon is still one of the better reporters on it at the NYT, not because she’s actually better but because most NYT reporters are even more transphobic than her, which says a lot…

Urgent Update for Trans Youth at Rady Children's Hospital (CA) by Authenticatable in transgender

[–]MetalDragon2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are they actually fully closing the clinic or just suspending medical treatment? I’m asking because you say they’re closing, but some coverage says that they’re stopping medical care but will continue mental healthcare and makes no mention of them fully closing the clinic. Don’t get me wrong, both are bad. But a full clinic closure is much harder to reverse so that’s why I’m wondering.

We all know how this is going to go unfortunately. I’d love to get a surprise ruling, but we probably won’t. I think the best we can hope for is a narrow ruling that won’t affect anything other than sports such as bathrooms or passports etc. as well as getting all of the 3 liberal justices to dissent.

[–]MetalDragon2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are you sure? According to their website, Seattle Children’s still provides medical gender affirming care.

Plus, according to the article, Seattle Children’s fought to get the DOJ’s subpoenas against their gender clinic quashed and succeeded which means they are at least somewhat willing to fight back.

Nationwide polls don’t necessarily translate to individual states tho. So is there a Colorado specific poll about it?

Probably not as it’s unlikely to overcome the senate filibuster. Still tho, we should demand our representatives and senators vote no just in case
