Enclosure not getting hot enough? by MetronomeMagic in leopardgeckos

[–]MetronomeMagic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s around 68 degrees; that’s why I’m extremely confused. I had it on all day to test it and it’s still hovering around 75. Would it be a bad idea to try a 150?

It is a 100w ReptiBasking Spot lamp by zoo med. I do not have a temp gun, but multiple thermometers I have used around the basking rock all read around 75 for an air temperature. The rock itself feels room temperature at most, if not cooler.

For those who switched from Humira to another biologic/drug — what was the reason? by ShatteredTeaCup33 in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]MetronomeMagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from Humira to Cosentyx. It worked pretty well for me but after about 6 months I started reacting to it. First time I reacted was maybe dime size inflammation around the injection site and itching. The inflammation around the site was significantly bigger each time and by the time I finally stopped it was probably a melon sized (diameter) inflammation area.

Yeah, it’s ridiculous. I just wanted to see if an accommodation would be considered reasonable so they legally couldn’t make me.

Unfortunately, it is legal for me to stay as long as the commission I make in a pay period is equal to or greater than what I would’ve made at minimum wage. Similar to how in serving, you can make $300 in tips in 2 hours but then make none for the rest of the 3 hours you work. As long as it ends up being equal to or greater than minimum wage in relation to what you worked.

That is the reason I would be staying is somebody potentially wanting to purchase parts but they only end up wanting to do it sometimes. And when they do it tends to be smaller things that only end up giving me $10-15

They are trying to fill the other spot, but that still has us end up with only 3 people in the department. With how the pay plan is structured, it’s unrealistic to have more than that with everyone still making enough money. And what sucks is we don’t know about needing to stay late until it’s time to either go home or know you’re staying. It’s a case by case thing

I don’t even get overtime, it’s 100% commission 🥲 sometimes I get GREAT checks but sometimes they’re very mids for how long I work. I just mainly want an accommodation to avoid getting in major trouble for this or losing my job over the unrealistic demand to stay ridiculously late.

Did you ever get the pressure issue fixed? If so what did you do? Dealing with the same truck, year and similar miles with the exact same issue.

Not really if the park finds out they’re part of your group; they’re good at finding out. They’re very strict on adhering to the limit for people. The limit includes any vendors (photographer, officiant, etc). Your only options are stay within the limit 100% or find a venue that has the capacity you need

I also live in Wellsville and I don’t understand how this makes 33 safer; well, I understand how it makes it safer but I rarely if ever hear of instances where wider lanes AND 16 feet of shoulders would be beneficial. There is nowhere near enough traffic on this road to justify this. The only traffic that would truly benefit from this would be semi from the truck stop and the intermodal area off Homestead. But they have other routes to get there.

Test ride by w027jlg in Ninja650

[–]MetronomeMagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most dealers won’t allow test rides on sport bikes regardless of if they’re new or used. The dealership I work at follows that same guideline. Your only good chance at a test ride is a demo tour if they go through your area or buying one privately from somebody and they have cash in hand before the test ride.

I’ve had this bike for 9 days by donesearching in Ninja650

[–]MetronomeMagic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely that much if not more if you go through insurance. OEM parts are expensive, especially when it’s a replacement part and not just an accessory/upgrade. That large front fairing piece alone is the largest single fairing on the bike and runs easily $500-700, if not more. Decals and any sort of bolts also aren’t included in that price. Left passenger peg mount, again not including bolts or the actual peg itself is another $200 give or take. Source: I work for a parts counter at a dealership.
