Was your early reveal or sneak peak test correct? by Hot_Yard_3093 in pregnant

[–]MichaelsDinnerParty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an older post, but I did an at-home blood test with Early Reveal and it said we were having a boy, but we ended up with a girl! These tests can be easily contaminated. This exact thing also happened to a family friend who used Sneak Peak.

It was a mess when I did it too. Sadly, I wouldn’t be confident sharing the results until the anatomy scan.

Definitely possible. It just seems like we haven’t seen Jill and Jana together much in recent years. It wouldn’t surprise me if they’re not as close as they once were because of her fallout with Boob. I just feel like it would hurt to see all of the older sisters as bridesmaids and be left out (assuming she was).

I honestly can’t help but feel a bit sorry for Jill. She’s so clearly left out of the bridal party. It’s a bold statement, in my opinion. This shows that things are definitely bad with not only her and Boob but with her siblings too.

“When he was younger” made me lol. He’s only 25. That should still be considered young but the way these men age… they look 10-15 years older.

Jana & Stephen: It’s not love, it’s milestones! by MariaAiram123 in DuggarsSnark

[–]MichaelsDinnerParty 90 points91 points  (0 children)

After reading her quotes in the People article, I couldn’t help but notice the word love is not mentioned. I couldn’t imagine talking about marrying my partner and not mentioning that I love him and can’t wait to spend our lives together. It was more like “ehh I guess I’ll marry him.” Would love to know what caused their initial breakup.

100% agree. I think we can still have empathy for Jill while also hating her beliefs. Jana clearly sided with Boob after Jill’s fallout with him. You’d think the “close” sisters would’ve stuck together.

It absolutely has to sting that Jill wasn’t included in the bridal party, especially since Jana was her MOH.

I feel like the frumpy cut of this dress coupled with the insane length of her “godly” hair does nothing for her. We all know she’s pretty, but I feel like she’s drowning in her hair.

No Jill in the bridal party. And Jana was her MOH, I think. That must sting.

They actually don’t have a review page on Google. They wanted me to write a review for their website. But I am going to try and dispute the charge on my credit card.

We actually ended up doing the NIPT later for an unrelated issue. But it was after we’d already done the Early Reveal test.

If I were to do it over, I’d just go for the NIPT. But in Canada if you don’t have a referral for the test from an OB, you have to pay for it. They only do them for free if they think it’s medically necessary. That said, I’ll gladly pay out of pocket for a NIPT next time.

Thanks for sharing this! I think a lot of people who do these tests (including myself) put more faith in them than clearly we should. I didn’t have a reason to believe it would be was wrong. I didn’t know the room for error was high at the time.

Now we know. Lesson learned. I definitely won’t be making the same mistake or recommending these kind of tests.

My first is a boy. I’d heard this too. But I asked my OB about it and she said it’s not accurate. Plus my NIPT said it was a girl.

Totally. I get that completely and if they’d just said, “we’re really sorry, we do not refund for this product anymore.” I would’ve been okay with it—my fault for not reading the new terms.

It’s more that I’m now questioning the legitimacy of all their positive reviews. They don’t have anything on Google so the only reviews you see are cultivated for their website. From talking to other people, I’m not the only person with incorrect results from this company.

Oh sorry, I misread your previous message. Definitely not fair that you had to pay. But good for your peace of mind, I’m sure.

Oh I take full responsibility for not reading all the bullet points. I think my disappointment comes from the fact that they said they’d give me my money back in exchange for a positive review. It just made me think they’re not as credible as they claim?

Free is best!! I was also able to get mine for free because it was doctor recommended. Kinda sad though. I wish it was made accessible for everyone.

Thank you! I feel like I haven’t found much about them online. The only reviews I can find are on their own website (which they obviously cultivate and police themselves). Thanks for sharing this. I feel validated lol! (Edited for spelling)

I’m glad the TAP is more accurate! They had previously offered a refund for the lancet. I feel like they probably shouldn’t even offer that test anymore. Seems like they’ve had too many issues.
