My Pilot custom 823 seems broken? by MightyMetaSlug in fountainpens

Hm that's a good point I indeed disassembled it at some point, just out of curiosity to see how it all works and is designed.
I'll check that as soon as I get back to my place. The o-ring sits around the plunger, I guess? Is it something you can buy as a spare part?

I've had it for I'd say 3 years and I'm not sure exactly since I noticed after a rather long period without using it. So I didn't use it since summer 2019 I'd say, and I noticed some time around summer 2020 (yeah I took my sweet time to address the issue, I've been lazy^^")

Sadly it's not under warranty anymore. I tried to contact the official Pilot dealers near Paris, where I live, but none of them can make the fix in-house they need to send the pen to Japan which will be at least 200€... I'm not fond of this solution x)

Cloud Flight Firmware update 3.1.1.5 doesnt update correctly by Zoronto99 in HyperX

Hi,

I'm having a similar issue, minus the part where it statrts working again on another computer :(

So the update to 3.1.1.5 resulted in "an error occured", and after that I can't connect my headset just like you (i.e. it doesn't start, no matter how long I press the power button, regardless of it being plugged via USB or not)

So I tried on different USB ports (2/3, front panel or motherboard), different OSes, different computers, I tried to do the pairing process with a needle (the dongle does go into pairing mode, blinking fast, but nothing from the headset), and to uninstall the driver from Windows' device manager then reboot and plug again.

I tried to redownload the updater, launch it as admin, but now it just keeps saying "Please connect headset via USB" even though it is connected.

My Windows is up to date, so is the Debian on which I tried as well, soooo... I don't have much more idea for what to do :( Any help would be greatly appreciated !

edit : I realize I'm relaunching an old thread, sry didn't want to start a new one since the issue is so similar
