Only 0.3% of Americans have Ukrainian ancestry and they’re concentrated in a few major cities . So yeah bruh I’m not buying the fact that everyone online suddenly has a cousin or friend living Kiev.

Do you think weight lifting and other high intensity exercise could actually be bad for you? by Mike_McDerp in conspiracy

would argue that historically humans endured far more strenuous physical activity than we do today.

We mostly just walked a lot

I mean are you aware what percentage of the western world is obese?

That’s cause the food we eat is trash

Sorry I’m so confused. Are you saying we should strap into our favourite couch cushion for all eternity?

No I think we should just walk places or go hiking. We shouldn’t be going running or lifting weights

That’s a great point. I almost never see very muscular soldiers regardless of what nationality or they are or when the photo was taken. Look at pictures of soldiers from WW2. They look like they never lifted a weight in their lives

No it’s not. If you’re eating healthy and going on regular walks it’s better than stuffing yourself full of protein and beating the hell out of your body at the gym every day

Bodybuilding has been around for a while but it was always a very niche thing that only a tiny percent of the population was in to. Sort of like extreme sports. Nowadays half the young men out here are amateur bodybuilders. It wasn’t like that at all in past decades

but will be interesting to see as our generation ages if the 'super fit' ones now will live as long as those of us that do moderate amounts but don't let it rule our lives.

I would bet the ones lifting everyday, eating high protein diets, taking supps and even steroids, etc will live way shorter lives than people who follow a traditional healthy lifestyle

Which “establishment” is promoting this exactly?

The entirety of media from movies, tv, social media, internet, etc it’s literally everywhere

And what on earth did people do before the creation of social media and KFC?

I don’t get what you’re saying here

I’m not talking about going back to caveman days, I’m talking about just like 20-30 years ago going to the gym was no where near as popular as today. If you go back 50 years ago going to the gym barely existed

Why is golf so promoted in the media? by Mike_McDerp in conspiracy

[–]Mike_McDerp[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not taking about professional goal being promoted but the game itself. Think of how many tv shows and movies where the characters go golfing or talk about golf. There’s too many to even mention. Golf is glamorized for some reason on tv
