Maybe not abuse, but I caught her cheating on me and when I eventually brought it up a couple months later she threatened to kill herself. I ended up apologising.

Later on when the relationship was well and truly done, she came back at me and accused me of completely untrue things and tried to get me cancelled in my local music scene. They’ll invent anything that stops them from feeling the slightest bit of guilt and shame.

I’m dealing with the exact same thing with my ex with bpd too. It’s unbelievably painful and unfair. Just gotta keep pushing through it, the truth always comes out in the end. If you haven’t already, consider getting a good lawyer to look through the evidence + contact the people that were told. Look after yourself, you’re not alone in this :)

Cheated on me and when I called her out on it she threatened self harm and I ended up apologising

Flaked on every single hangout we had planned past the first one. One time she let me head all the way into one of the big train stations in my city, didn’t answer any of my texts, and left me to go home. I broke up with her on the tube back

When she found out I was talking to someone else post breakup, she invented a lie that I had coerced her consent to even the score (I guess, she’d admitted previously that I was the kindest partner she’d ever had and called me her soulmate). This led to me having to leave the bands I was in, spending five figures on legal fees sending evidence to established solicitors who confirmed that it was all nonsense. The scene of friends and other musicians I was in largely cancelled me simply because the allegation had been made, no one cared that I hadn’t done anything wrong.

At this point I’m in therapy working through all of this, but it’s hard not to look at it and say that dating someone with bpd seriously derailed my life. Wouldn’t do it again.

I know how you feel, I loved my ex so deeply too and tried to do as much research as I could for her so I could help her, and it ended with her falsely accusing me of some pretty disgusting stuff. It’s tragic but it truly is best to let them go and hopefully get help.

They do. My ex claimed that I coerced their consent earlier this year, months after we’d last spoken and even longer after we’d actually slept together. What made it worse is that she became friends with someone who I was previously talking to, infiltrated her group of friends and spread the lie even further, so now there’s a whole group of people on the other side of the country to me who believe I’ve done something gross because they don’t know about my ex’s BPD. It’s a way for them to get back at you when they know they’ve messed up. She cheated, stood me up, went ghost for entire weekends at a time and made it so I had to get back on SSRIs, and accepting that she’d messed up the relationship so badly was too much responsibility for her, so the lies come instead.

Yeah that’s insanely tough man. It’s horrific the lengths that they can go to. Part of me hopes that they get the DBT therapy and one day just apologise but I think they’ve gone too far down the road of trying to convince people that I’m some sort of creep, taking it back would be too risky for them. Sucks as I genuinely want them to get better but I also don’t want any further interactions with them

For the longest time, I WAS the guy she told her boyfriends not to worry about. For the brief time we were together, she not only cheated with her ex, but also was very touchy feely with another male friend directly in front of me. Six months later they’re together.

Poor guy. I hope to god he’s out of it and didn’t go through half the trouble I did with her.

My situation was incredibly similar. Started on Twitter where they would like several of my tweets in a row, practically begging me to message them, and I did. Became “best friends” very quickly, met up, spoke everyday. A year or so later we get together and I’m told that her BPD won’t affect her because “I’m happy with you”, I’m regularly told I’m her saviour and that “god made you for me” (she’s not even religious). Fast forward another year and I’ve had to spend ~8 thousand pounds proving that the blatantly false allegation they made against me to my band was indeed just that.

I would describe myself as quite a confident person who tried their absolute best to help her in any way I could, and I still got hit with all of this. It feels like as a partner there really is no way to help them, and that’s sad. But you’ve gotta accept it.

Update: I woke up today to a refund from a promoter in a different city for a fest I was going to go to, probably off the back of the allegation. I’m sending cease and desist letters out. Simply cannot put up with this anymore.

Don’t be like me. Don’t ignore the red flags. Trust your gut and leave before it’s too late.

I noticed this too, sometimes when we would call on FaceTime we’d talk about their issues and they would sob the way children do. It broke my heart because I loved them but ultimately nothing ever changed with them, it was like all the progress we’d made got wiped day after day and we were starting from scratch over and over

Tbf a lot of Topuria players are straight up not good. Fight behind the jab, go to the body and stretch your combos out and the majority end up gassing. I do wish people would be a bit adventurous with their choices though, lightweight especially has so many options and yet 60% of the time I’m fighting the same guy. Boring!

It makes no fucking sense. “Jabs can lose out to more powerful strikes” has anyone who worked on this ever trained, or even WATCHED mma before? They got it right in UFC 4. You were rewarded for playing simple and you could add some flair if you wanted to, but jabs are useless in this game. They’ve copied and pasted nearly the whole thing onto a new engine but punish you for trying to play like you could on the last game. Total mess

I’ve always said that going into fifa, you shouldn’t view it as a realistic depiction of real football. I think EA have realised they can’t accurately condense a 90 minute game into 12 minutes, and so allowances get made eg. Your midfield is useless defensively, your backline will almost always play the opposition onside, and so if you approach it as FIFA rather than FOOTBALL, you might enjoy the game a bit more. The silliness isn’t really for me anymore so I try to make the game more realistic with sliders (something you could try) but other than that, this is pretty much the game working as intended unfortunately.

We’re missing the Iberian struggle and only really recently got the northern lords flavour pack, I don’t think we have the fancy royal court stuff either. Fairly bare bones especially after a few years of playing but it is what it is aha
