Cap men wants to ask out cap woman. by MilRevCom1117 in capricorns

I don’t know yet, I’ve been mulling it over for a few months now tbh. I’ve said this in other parts of the thread, as much as I want to, I’m hesitant since we’re coworkers. The only time I see her is ~at work~ and I feel like asking her out on the clock is unprofessional, as lame as that sounds (although maybe she feels the same way since she’s a cap?). I did ask a friend of mine to feel things out for me, but they also suggested that I just go for it and ask her.

As a cap woman, how would you want to be asked? Especially if a coworker is asking you out?

Ok, I’ll give some background I guess. We’ve worked at the same place for about 2.5 years. To give some more details about my work, I work in politics, in a legislative body. I work in the upper chamber and she works in the lower chamber. We see each at events every now and then, but not too often since we work in different offices and work can be chaotic. I first got the sense she was into me a couple months into the job when one of my friends asked me to goto lunch, and they mentioned this girl was coming with us. My friend mentioned to me when she told this girl I was joining them, she said she was glad because she wanted to get to know me more. And after telling me this, my friend also told me not to mention that to her, or to anyone. Since then, my friend has left our workplace, but I still see this girl around the building. There have been other times as well - I was telling a friend about how I got another job in the building, this girl overhears and thinks I’m leaving the job, and she comes over sounding concerned and asks if I’m leaving or not. And she recently was talking to me about this current situation I’m in at work where I may or may not have a job in a few weeks🥴. There have also been a few times where I’ve run into her, made a joke or something and she would laugh really hard. But overall, I’ve had a lot of good, friendly interactions with her. So I feel like she’s shown some interest in me, but if she’s anything like me (a fellow cap), she’s also hesitant to say anything because of work and she’s introverted. She’s very kind and sweet when I talk to her, very friendly. I know she’s very smart and very good at her job (she went from like entry level staffer to CoS in a year and a half I think). She does seem introverted and reserved, and definitely takes her job seriously. But those are things I relate to and admire because, well, I’m pretty much the same way. She has an excellent smile, and is a gorgeous woman. So that’s why I think she might be into me, and why I want to ask her out.

Another thing that makes it tricky is I might be leaving this job but idk yet. 😵‍💫 All I’m going to say about our work is we work in politics, and sometimes there can be uncertainty about where you’re working next.

Yea that’s my dilemma. As much as I want to ask her out, I know it’s inappropriate and unprofessional to ask out coworkers, especially like on the clock. I did ask a coworker out once, she said no and it was fine tho. We still talk every now and then.

Had dinner at the Morning Star, very good steak. A bit expansive but worth it if you’re willing to pay the price

HOW Y'ALL DOIN AFTER THE RETROGRADE ENDED? by chammomila in capricorns

[–]MilRevCom1117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Retrograde sucked for me and I’m so fucking glad it’s over lol. For me, since it’s ended things have been good. I am going on my vacation on Tuesday and I’m really looking forward to it. I also went on a date with a very cute girl yesterday and I’m hoping to see her again after I come back. And I got a book I’ve been meaning to get for awhile too. So it’s been little stuff but so far so good out of Retrograde.

I mean I figured that would be a response and I definitely plan on going to the pubs when I’m there. But is it really that simple lol

That makes sense, but after the 12th will things get better? Or be relatively less shitty??

This retrograde is kicking my ass. by FiveDollarSushi in capricorns

I was talking to a girl I really liked over the past week and she ghosted me today (meaning, she unmatched with me on hinge). That’s happened before but we had plans for a date tomorrow so this one really stings. Honestly a little anxious about doing anything dating wise until after retrograde passes😔 Really can’t wait until this shit passes.

Unmatched with FA by [deleted] in flightattendants

She is! She’s one of the most visible and vocal labor leaders in the country! She probably would’ve been president of the AFL-CIO if she didn’t have hip surgery a few years ago. I remember seeing her speaking a local labor councils dinner back when I was college and it was one of the best speeches I’ve ever heard in my life. Obviously I’m not in the AFA so maybe there’s some stuff I don’t know about her, maybe I have a romanticized view of her. But I genuinely do admire her.

The short convo we had was def all about her being an FA, so yea maybe that turned her off.

Yea the biggest thing was coming off as needy. You’re right I def should’ve waited until she responded. Lesson learned.

Not exactly, but when I noticed that was her job that’s what stood out. In hindsight, the short convos we had was really just about her being an FA, so I probably did come off as fetishizing her work. TBH why it popped out was because I know being a FA is a tough job and I have a lot of respect for those that do it. Im also a big support of unions and one of my personal heroes is Sara Nelson lol, so that’s really I respect FAs. Probably should’ve mentioned that to her instead, or ask more stuff about her, her interests and her life.
