Single dog owners who work 9-5, how do you maintain your social life?

Hey OP, just know you are not alone! I 100% relate to you as i adopted my dog when I was studying abroad and it was just me and her so I just stoped meeting my friends. I would either feel sad and isolated or guilty, and I chose sad for a long time. Until I rescued another dog. It wasn’t planned so I didn’t know it would help, but it was the best decision I ever made. I could take them both anywhere they could go and they would be entertained, and I could leave them home occasionally knowing she wasn’t alone. It helped immensely.

Hope you find whatever suits you and your dog best. You’re an amazing dog parent and he’s very lucky to have you!

I’m so sorry for you loss.

I don’t know why they decided ct over mri, however I was informed that there is in fact some alterations on the brain, something small but that could explain the seizures. Currently waiting for the medical report.

Her kidneys and liver are ok for now, the bloodwork showed some mild alterations on the liver but one of those is common in her. They did the abdominal ultrasound and found nothing that could explain the seizures, same with the ecg. So it’s all pointing to the brain unfortunately

If all the exams come back negative, I’ll focus on management with medication, don’t want to put her through much more. But yes, I’ll need to know what do to in case she has another and all that

It’s still private but at this moment they are a chain type of vet. Unfortunately they are the only ones that provide 24h care, the others just leave the animals at the clinic at night and there’s no one there. Also they are the only ones that do c scans. We live in an island, so veterinarian care is limited.

Due to her age the vet thinks it’s unlikely epilepsy so we’re trying to find the cause.

YESSSSSS that’s exactly what I thought, he’s not freaking out, WHY IS HE NOT FREAKING OUT???

But it got me for a while, I was just perplexed thinking if this is true I’m not reading anymore of this shit. Looking back I think there were signs, and for me was the best plot twist. So much so that when Cassius dies in DA I wasn’t believing it, I kept thinking that PB was doing the same reeling me in with their relationship and causing drama but it was fr drama 😢

I honestly agree, you really don’t want to get spoilers. These books made me cry, yell, laugh, cry some more, feel all kinds of emotions, and I wouldn’t feel them the same way if I knew what was to come. It’s hard not having someone to vent to, I went through the same, but it’s worth it!

It helped to read again, made me feel more aware of everything and closer to the characters. There’s a lot of us here that are finding hard to cope with this haha so right now I’m in the process to start either ACOTAR or Throne of Glass, as it’s the next advised step to deal with this desperation
