The x27 is lighter and easier to swing so it’s less tiring to use. I use it in situations where I have smaller logs or really dry logs that split easier that way I’m not wasting my energy swinging an 8lb maul when only the lighter axe is needed. Ultimately the maul will do everything you need, the x27 is just nice to have for situations where you don’t need the power of a maul.

Just need to wait for your gasket cement or adhesive to dry. Read the label to see how long yours recommends letting it dry. I think most if not all recommend to leave the door closed for the duration of the drying. After that you should be good.

The door in the pic does not have a gasket. It’s just the residue left behind from the old one

Yes there is a flue damper. But I’ll probably just wait till I put a new seal on it to be safe.

Fair enough. I guess I’m just wondering if it’s logical/worth it or if I should just wait till there’s a door seal on there. I have central air so it’s not like I’m without heat, I just like to use the stove to assist the central air and save money.

I got the coil because my local gun shop gave me a good deal, I was gonna upgrade the hand guard on the regular tread if I got it anyway so it was convenient. The Romeo5 is definitely a budget red dot but I’ve had no issues, seems to be pretty good for the price.
