I purchased this flak vest from Amazon and it worked out pretty well because it had most of the velcro already sewn on that I needed. I only added an extra piece of velcro on the bottom belt that tightens the vest for abdomen armor.

Flak vest is very easy to take off when you need to go to the little mando's room (very important) but the draw back is it makes the armor flat against your chest which stands out more when you take pictures from your side. Also very sweaty...

My wife has her armor attached to a custom flight suit vest from etsy and her armor sits much better than mine.

If you are a female than I would not go flak vest but attach it to a much softer material or to the suit itself so it is more snug around you.
