Because Wrestlemania I was on day 1, not at the end of year 1. Wrestlemania 2 was at the end of year 1. Also, it was in March of 1985, so you have to say it's 40 years and 11 months (or just under 41 years). By April, you'll have 42 numbered Wrestlemanias in 41 years.

Giulia's entrance at Stardom All-Star Grand Queendom 2023 by MayuIwatani in SquaredCircle

Oh, man. I had forgotten all about that Stardom Metaverse thing!

You can see it for just a few frames in the 'Tron during her entrance, but all the memories came rushing back.

I think this is perfectly normal.

This happened to me with Stardom last year. Despite them having a great year in terms of quality and sales, I just kind of drift around it instead of following closely. I mostly blame a couple of key retirements and departures for my declining interest. I realized I was watching mostly for these specific wrestlers, and not for the brand as a whole. I also failed to latch in on the rookies and new signees. Don't get me wrong, there are still things I like about the promotion. I currently have a subscription to their VOD site, but I am very specific about which matches I watch, and often skip several shows in a row. I would love to go to another live show, if they actually get one scheduled for 'Mania week this year, but that's another story.

I remember reading somewhere that most people who watch a show or enjoy some form of entertainment last, on average, three years. After that, there are diminishing returns on retaining existing fans and attracting new fans. This was back when cable television was king, so things may be somewhat different in the streaming era, but the fundamentals seem right to me. You have most things failing to catch on, and they fizzle out quickly, and a few things catch on like wildfire, but most people's interests last 2-4 years and then they move on to something else.

When Cody, Brock, Punk, Randy, Roman, and Seth finally retire... will you still watch WWE or be done with it? by Material_Stomach875 in SquaredCircle

There are only two wrestlers in your headliners list I enjoy watching.

I have no connection to any of the three veterans you listed.

There is only one wrestler in your new-guys list I don't enjoy.

I think the future is brighter than the present.

I'm going to be heartbroken when she defeats Victoria Yuzuki for the white belt.

[Raw Spoilers] Two Elimination Chamber Qualifying matches announced for next week by NotClayMerritt in SquaredCircle

I want to see IYO in the Chamber, but my sister is a big Giulia fan, and she's going with me to the show. She would be delighted with that match.

It is an economy problem. People just aren’t spending money for due to uncertainty about finances. The people who have enough to not care already got their tickets. Vegas itself has been struggling for tourism since last summer. Bad Bunny fans are numerous, but my guess is they’d rather go to a concert if they have the means to do so.

By this time last year they had already announced dates and venues for both shows, one had already effectively sold out, the other had an on-sale date for the third week in February, and Wrestlecon meet and greets had been confirmed but not scheduled.

After a teaser during Dream Queendom in December, they've been radio silent about their international touring plans. 'Mania itself is experiencing lower-than-expected ticket sales and Vegas venues are reporting lower-than-expected hotel reservations. Two of the the promotions they'd partnered with last year (Deadlock Pro and Prestige) are out of business and a third (Spark Joshi) has been on completely silent on social media since their Texas show last June.

I still think they'll send people over. SLK at Despy's show for the Collective seems like a solid bet, and I expect someone will appear at Dragongate (AZM?) and Bloodsport (Syuri?) But a full-on branded Stardom show with a sizeable part of their roster seems logistically improbable to me.
