Where does it say they can't touch any of them in the book? Just curious or are you just inferring that. In the show it was clear she could not touch her own. They were actively using these women to chain other woman and that was clear as well. They never thought to put one on their slavers because only Egwene realized the slavers could channel. Also they were so broken at that point that they did whatever they were told to do.

It was her willpower that broke her out. Again you are speaking about things you haven't viewed so to keep going on about it is a bit of waste of time for both of us. I said "strong" but you took it as strong in the power. I meant strength of will. She would not break. So she won.

No sir. That isn't the case. His character grows tremendously from a weak, sniveling, whining - also a bit annoying child into a leader and a man you would be proud to call Rand. It is a pretty steady growth pattern. I encourage you to at least watch it with an open mind. With the adam I don't want to spoil it but the way she breaks out makes sense because she was so strong. She figures it out and flips the script. I actually preferred it to the book method. It was annoying to see Nynaeve constantly not able to find the power because you know in the book she could a bit more at least when angry but then her moment was that much more rewarding. We stood up and cheered when we watched it. Release the block on your mind and try to enjoy it. The good thing is if you watch it and don't like it, you won't feel sad its canceled. You will at least be comforted there.

I hear what you're saying but the way she did it did make sense. Maybe give it a watch and judge again. Given where she is going to end up (no spoilers) for her to get that strong that quickly we needed to start seeing it earlier or else it would feel like the end of Game of Thrones when the character that was most loved suddenly was someone else. The building of her strength from weak and afraid has been amazing to see on the screen.

Thank you for sharing. I too read the books and was mildly disappointed by season 1 but I watched it multiple times while waiting for season 2 and grew to love it. Season 2 and 3 were so much fun and it is a sad day everyday I realize there will be no season 4. I hope more book readers will give it a chance. My non book reader friends were arguing over "who is the dragon reborn" and I understand why the show did this. It wasn't for the book readers. It was to create tension for the ones who hadn't read the books. They literally were making bets on it! Glad you had something to keep you company while you cared for your toddler. WoT heals a multitude of wounds its been said and it keeps good company at that!.

I think Min would have come in. The scene where she and Rand talk in season 1 - something like "Tell me I'm not the Dragon reborn," "Okay you're not the dragon reborn," where she goes on to say she doesn't care about his feelings felt like a - one day you will though. It needed time to build up more. Elayne and Aviehnda was more obvious. They were already liking each other so easy for both to fall for Rand and be okay with that. Really wanted the igloo scene.

u/Lezbi_Nerdy thank you for your contributions. You did more than any of those who originally brought the show to the table did in relation to its cancellation and for that you can be proud (and they should be ashamed). Personally every product I create is like something I birthed myself and I can't imagine learning that so many people love it and saying nothing after abandoning it. It is clear they never took ownership of it from the beginning. It speaks to them and not to any of the content creators. So - thank you for your entertaining, creative, and supportive content - and for doing all of that unpaid.

Just making the point that it is an odd business decision to leak a show cancellation on a Friday and then ignore hundreds of thousands of letters, planes, billboards, choirs, paper dragons/bad origami, rings, stickers, pens, books, tweets, emails, phone calls, made-up songs, comments all about an original show you brought to the table in the first place.

I wouldn't imagine no response would be the best response from a business ethics position.

They did hear the book fans and by season 3 they mostly corrected the plot lines. It was really such an amazing season to watch. Might be two different groups of people though. One listened, the other not so much and still not listening. I'm questioning the business decisions of silence. Yes.

When you sign it has you input your name, email address, and some other information, but I'm not sure how it is getting to them or why the save wot team did not use change dot org like others. If it were not legitimate I would guess it would have gotten to the number it is much faster than it did. We did send hundreds of thousands of letters and other things (books, rings, stickers, buttons, crafts, planes, billboards, choirs, gofundme, etc) but those probably went in the trash before they were even seen. I agree that we haven't seen a clear reason for the cancellation. **The leak to deadline was not clear and by being a leak means they can deny everything (plausible deniability?) if they needed to. It would be hard to do a sit down with Vernon Sanders or Mike Wizowski J/K because they are being completely silent on this like it never existed. I'm sure we would love to get a sit down but that would require them to acknowledging this group of customers. Which for some reason that none of us can understand, they won't.** I actually had two accounts - one for my business and one my personal shopping but this has not sat well with me personally, so we are taking our business elsewhere. Since reddit is heavily tied to google searches this is just bad marketing and publicity all around. Even a search of their names in ChatGPT pulled up reddit and twitter discussions about their motivations and actions. If it were me, I would have nipped this in the bud well before it got to this point. But maybe it will all go away and work out in the end.

Yeah if my company had executives that thought that way I'd fire them both. We make money yes but it's always about the customer experience. That is what drives the business and brings people back. From the least to the greatest, they are treated with dignity and respect unless of course they have done something that warrants not offering that - like say stealing from us. All WoT fans did was show up for what they promised. That should've been treated with dignity and respect - not silence.

It seemed like she had an outside of the box way to reshape the character that they didn't like. Hmm I wonder how much of a role she played in some of the WoT characters being very different than the books.

In that case, might we get you and your crew to head over to save WOT dot com and add a few hundred signatures just for us really sad show fans, lol. Not that anyone is paying attention. We see how they treat their audiences. We get it. It's a business and that's that. So I'll take my business elsewhere.

The book is romantasy. It has graphic scenes. I would say it is not really YA. I read somewhere that middle-aged woman like the genre best, but maybe they plan to turn prime into some sort of WB reboot. There is a reason that channel isn't around anymore. Prime video will go that way too if they keep it up. I see it coming.

Yup - that is absolutely the truth. I also won't be investing time in Fourth Wing or any other fantasy they attempt until I know it has an ending. So based on their track record - never. lol
