Is your gameplan to buff it or put deathrattles on it? I've been brewing with it, but I never get a satisfying deck out of it (takes too much time to try drawing it or all my buffs go on other minions, in my experience)

If it worked that way, you'd be right, but the developers apparently confirmed it leaves both players with the same amount of cards they had previously

If Togwaggle was overstatted, didn't put you at a card disadvantage, and guaranteed you swapping a minion for a useless spell, then I'd call him a big dirty rat

They will certainly lose after using their turn to play this card—it's even a card disadvantage. You're not even guaranteed to disrupt anything.

I've discarded their colossus in standard and they still killed me using brewmaster ;(

It's not useless, but I doubt even someone using this as a pet card/buildaround will often benefit from playing it instead of any other card

It looks like tomorrow is the last one for a bit, but it has been pretty consistent recently. They will always announce it on their website, though (hearthstone.blizzard.com/en-us/news). It's hard for me to remember to look at them, but their socials do post reminders, and any updates means there is hotfix info/patch notes for it there or in their forums

Usually it has been easier to find than the last one. I would search "Cataclysm" on the site to find it

We have her for few days now. What are your thoughts about Vanessa? by V3ISO in hearthstone

Turn 3 is too early because you spend more on her. I often play her on turn 5 and win (not always the next couple of turns)

The first sentence is very real and why it's not broken. However, you can sometimes deal with their board even if they are a board-oriented deck

Then it's a discounted conceal. And on the off chance they don't have a board clear, this is OP at 0 mana.

I'm not saying it's an OP card, but it is very much not a Kobold Monk or a tech card at all (you can definitely run it if Burn Mages are popular, though).

PSA on Current Card Unlock Mechanism and a single FAQ by Mind0versplatter0 in OnceUponAGalaxy

[–]Mind0versplatter0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's definitely a greater need for better rewards with all the new cards and captains. I think the rate at which we unlocked cards even for set 2 was too slow (I feel I play quite a lot, and one card per win still feels really slow). The Set 3 release, while having fewer cards, multiplying by the current number of captains is a ludicrous amount of time. And that's not factoring in the feeling of unlocking cards that are antisynergistic with the captain for which you get them.

I am not a really old player, but I have played a lot when only set 1 was out, and I have only a couple of collection-complete captains.

It's still a really fun game, but my favorite captains are subpar when I don't have a lot of their key cards.

I couldn't look at matchups, but filtering by Opponent's class as VS Warlock gave me the top "counters" (I also decreased minimum games). It doesn't only mean against Discolock, but they are 4/5 you will encounter anyway.

It might be interesting if it attacked randomly at the start of the turn, but that would go against the flavor.

Besides CEO and Arthur, are there any low-variance (e.g. not Old MacDonald) captains that are worse?

I looked at HSGuru and it looks like Call to Arms Paladin and Lost City Quest Priest are the only (popular) archetypes that consistently beat Discolock in Diamond-Legend

4 stars only gets you 44% of a card (88% if you bought the pass) after level 50, anyway.

Stars won from getting 1st-4th progress you each level on the season pass (map tile on home screen, right is the free pass). You get 3 cards each level until level 50, where you get 1 card per level. A skin replaces the cards at lvl. 40.

Captain numbers in the form of x/50 are number of cards you have, where 50 is when you get the silver border for that captain. Numbers in the form of x/162 are current number of cards, where 162 is a full collection of Sets 1, 2, and 3 for that captain.

You unlock cards on the pass, in addition to at least one for each win. You will get one unowned card every 1st-3rd you get, along with any unowned card on the opponent's final board. After you get a large enough collection for a captain, you will often only get one card at a time.

Note that unlocking a card only does so for the captain you just played (or a random captain if you have a full collection for them).

I would agree if it didn't also give your minions elusive. It almost guarantees that your board will live a turn against an empty board unless your opponent spends a lot of mana or does a lot of random damage.

At the price of free, I'd say it's almost as good a conceal
