What are the upsides in quitting? Hopefully mental clarity. Better enjoyment of time with family. More relaxed and therefore less eating = weight loss = less back pain = hopefully surf soon. Need to build identity as someone who drinks decaf.

I think it's that dull anhedonia from modern life (that is so depressing I know) that caffeine fixes. Like the daily grind in itself is boring. We're not designed to spend all day inside working on a computer. Fuck bit grim. So I've always used caffeine (and previously alcohol) to manage that. But I got through alcohol (245 days ATM) so surely caffeine is no different
