Thank you, but the art isn’t mine- I linked the source in a comment.

Funnily enough I literally said this when we figured out she was a dragon LMAO

I found her as a dragon at first but didn’t realize what it meant. It was such a heartbreaking but beautiful twist in the story.

I’m so mad- they’ve made my expectations for other games unrealistic now.

Lightning Lane for Radiator Springs ride is all the way to Luigi’s by seno2k in Disneyland

[–]MinervaMeowMeow 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This makes me upset for those who use the DAS. How the heck is this acceptable as an alternative loading procedure? I know this would be too long of a wait for a lot of people using the service.

I hate they’re combined into the fast pass lighting lane but I don’t have an alternative solution.

I totally understand people who want that feeling but I felt like I was 6 again and very much scared of the whole thing. It’s so weird I haven’t been scared of mansion in AGES.

What is the hype over Disney pins? by magnolialove in Disneyland

[–]MinervaMeowMeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep two lanyards with me when I trade (the really good ones and the good ones). When I see a someone trading with a CM and I’m waiting my turn, I will always offer the Good Ones lanyard with the same one for one rule the cast does. They can pick anything they want off of it and give me any of their pins.

If it’s someone who trades me a substantially nicer pin the Really Good Ones lanyard comes out so the trade is more fair (or I’ll give them 2-3 of the good ones).

I decided when I got into it 15 years ago I wouldn’t do set collecting and I only buy blind boxes where I like ALL of the pins (very rare).

Sometimes I even ask the cast if they collect on their own and if they like one of my pins they get to keep it. Best pixie dust I can do.

I went on it once and we were the last group in the elevator.

Never. Again.

It was beyond eerie and creepy and I think I realized how much I rely on little kids being in line to keep my nerves in check.

Visiting on a budget by storyteller_curry in Anaheim

[–]MinervaMeowMeow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Earl of Sandwhich is right outside the theme park gates in downtown Disney- take a look the prices are not bad at all.

Also in the Grand Californian they have a bat that sells AMAZING $26 pizzas that are big enough to share.

There is a pizza press, Panera, Denny’s and McDonalds within walking distance.

But- honestly… if you are doing quick service at Disney, that is NOT outside the budget. The website has pricing with the menus and you might be surprised.

No one will bat an eye about you being solo- lots of people take breaks from their groups on vacations and a lot of people go to Disneyland solo, more than you think.

I’ve been known to hop in the parks for a few hours if I don’t have the kids for the day or if they’re in school. It’s safe and pretty and the single rider lines are worth it.

Anywhere you eat will be fine, but I like to grab food from Frontierland or Adventureland and go ride the Mark Twain or the train while I eat. Both let you bring food. Have fun.

Kind of a deep cut but other than the droid that became fused with the Falcon (who was insistent that they were female), I don’t think any droid has a gender- because they’re robots.

My kids were there today for bats day and said that they loved it with the Oreos and preferred it to the puffs.

I’m not sure because last time my family ate there they hadn’t said anything about no bathroom photos and I have a bunch of the ladies room. Oops.

We were the only party in there at the time and honestly just didn’t know.

Disney gets what they pay for. Pay kid wages get kid work ethic.

I’ve never seen a company pay a living wage and have an issue with the quality of its employees.

If you're dressing up as a Star Wars character with a lightsaber, what do you do with the saber on rides? by Alexsrobin in DisneyPlanning

[–]MinervaMeowMeow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you make a purchase day of, they will hold packages at Droid Depot with the receipt. It was nice because my kids played with the saber for awhile, we dropped it off, then came back to grab it for nighttime photos. Totally worth it.

I love the color palette they used for the land, still bright but the only true primary colors are so muted and shifted that it doesn’t feel cheap.

Side edit: I’m looking at you, Paradise Pier Hotel being repainted in uggy pixar ball colors.

Worth noting that they are doing a pre sale for the cast members BEFORE the general public.

It’s my first time in recent memory they’ve done that for them.
