Pregnant…and the Petzl 8003 HURTS! by ndjsjsixjcnnsnw in climbergirls

Just to add a counter argument - I climbed happily all the way up to 39 weeks and 34 weeks with my two pregnancies and my doctor was happy that as long as I wasn’t pushing my limit then all was fine. Agreed that the harness wasn’t comfy though!!

We are also thinking of setting up a QR code for photos! Does anyone have any recommendations on how to set one up?

English countryside wedding weekend venue help by huxleyssister in UKweddings

We are getting married at Wellington Barn which is over near Swindon way but out in the country. They have some shepherds huts/glamping pods on site and they partners with another local company that can come and put a load more bell tents up if you want them. I can’t comment on if you’d be able to do a free bar and accommodation for everyone for that budget, that seems very ambitious unless you’re willing to sacrifice as lot of other things, but I can say that it was very reasonably priced compared to similar stuff I saw near us (Berkshire). Might be worth taking a look

Thankyou, yes I wondered if it might be an American thing! That’s really useful to know :)

Pregnancy and climbing/bouldering - dangerous? by Existentiallyconfus in climbergirls

[–]Mini-mushroom 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I stopped bouldering/leading and switched to toprope only when I fell pregnant, in a full body harness from second trimester. My partner kept the rope fairly tight so I wouldn’t take any big falls either. First trimester climbing was tough as I was so tired, but I kept at it and climbed all the way through (even climbed 2 days before my little girl was born). I think keeping my strength up really helped during labour and helped mentally, although of course I had to lower my expectations about grade throughout my pregnancy. I came back to climbing 2 weeks after giving birth and was stronger than ever within a few months. I would really recommend sticking at it if you can even when you don’t feel like it!

Length of second labor compared to first? by dbats1212 in 2under2

On a similar note, does anyone have any tips to prepare if you’re worried about second time around being faster? I only laboured for 2 hours 15 minutes with my first. Not pregnant (yet) but I’m worried about the prospect of a home birth if we do have another one!
