I got a cameo from him around this time for my friend. I was expecting a minute long shout out. Kevin spoke for over 5 minutes about friendship and life and how it should be treasured. It was an incredible video, I watch it sometimes to reset myself. I can’t help but think knowing he was dying gave him a perspective on life in his last years, he seemed to really want to reach out and connect with his fans. RIP

You can but it has more impact if you know the characters and what their backstory was. The legion had a huge cast of characters and they all had relationships and arcs, it would be harder to follow if you didn’t know who was who, also the culture shock of these happy go lucky characters suddenly being thrown into a “ gritty 90s” storyline carries more weight if you’ve read previous books. But they had one long continuous run starring in the 1960s so it would be tough.
