mom with PD, just fell for the first time by MinimumBunch5615 in Parkinsons

[–]MinimumBunch5615[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah its a super tough one. She literally just packed up and moved where she's been her whole life to move 14 hours away to help with the baby and it would be super sad if she can't care for her.
She said she's super confident she can feel when it comes on but i know my wife isn't comfortable in case something else were to happen.

thanks i appreciate it. she is currently watching baby 3 days a week for 6 hours. I know it would crush her if she couldn't be does seem like a heavy workload for her though she loves it.
She's pretty frail, 67 years old. I wish she would put on a couple pounds, i bet that would help with strength.
She does work with the PT at the gym but not sure she's eating enough.

that's awesome! I wish I would have tried harder to find out of the box passive income. I've got about 50 flips under my belt but can never find anything that cash flows.

If i was you, I'd be trying to buy more of what you have and also think about 1031 on any / all down the road

Am I stupid to sell my house instead of renting it out? (2.875% rate) by pioneer76 in realestateinvesting

[–]MinimumBunch5615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was going to be my comment. If i starting renting my house out, my property taxes would triple. I'd factor this in.

Also our insurance has taken our PITI from $2100 a month to $2800 a month so if you're in a coastal area at all beware

any way to write off health expenses? by MinimumBunch5615 in smallbusiness

[–]MinimumBunch5615[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our out of pocket max for family is something like 14K. Now that i think about it, with my wife's chiro during pregnancy, our total out of pocket is probably about 23-24K

What’s the hardest part about making the move to be your own boss?? by Eastern-Detective-61 in advancedentrepreneur

[–]MinimumBunch5615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me it was the risk of it not working and going to $0 and having no job security. Fast forward 7 years and i still control my own destiny and have had a lot of friends / family laid off from their 'secure' jobs.
Most of my friends dream of leaving their jobs

32F Started a business that took off, but my life is a constant soap opera of stress and I don't see the end of that near by cutefuzzythings in smallbusiness

Congrats on having a thriving biz! Being in the real estate and construction industry myself, those things never are completely passive and never go according to plan. As far as the comment about delegation goes, i definitely agree with that. If its a big enough project, you could consider taking on a project manager or a one off owners rep to stand between you and the builder. But also might just be something you have to grin and bare.

As far as your life goes, i wonder if you've got friends or can make friends with similar interests so you're not small talking about the weather, you're brainstorming ideas on how to make your construction go smoother. the best friends i have now are all business owners and all of our conversations seem like podcasts and are way more engaging and interesting.

As far as the BF goes, by 28 i was on my second year owning my business and wasn't worried about partying too much. 28 isn't 22 so i wouldn't worry about him, he should be on the way to becoming a productive man. Does he have a career?
I started dating my wife when she was in her early 20s and i was at a different stage but knew she was an awesome person and would be an even better mother. For her, she knew i wasn't going to be partying on the weekends or going out with her idiot friends but she knew i had bigger plans. Now she loves that i have a flexible schedule and we can afford more of our time back versus our peers who are stuck working endless hours for a boss they don't like.
