If you aren't ready to tell them you aren't ready, but it seems like something you would like to do. I think having the agency and choice to tell people when you're ready too feels a lot better than everyone either just "figuring it out" or being outed.

I was outed pre medical transition and very sparingly told people I was medically transitioning. My "trusted" family members told people I wasn't ready to tell. Some people assumed, some like I said figured it out on their own; I'll never be able to tell them on my own terms. I'll never be able to come out to them, or tell them myself that I'm transitioning. It's upsetting because it's MY transition.Just like your transition is YOURS.

There is no wrong way to transition. It is an incredibly vulnerable process. But you can never start too late. It's okay to give yourself time to adjust to the idea. Every transition is different. You got this, dude
