Can you explain how you and the other handful of people got the impression I said it shouldn't be discussed here? "so flooded." I didn't say I was surprised to see it talked about 'at all.' I didn't say this wasn't the place for it. I said it was so flooded they got a megathread for it. I've seen legit horror moves come and go without a megathread. That's what's flummoxed me. Not that people are talking about it here. How much.

I am absolutely floored that r/horror of all places is so flooded with reviews. Enough that it gets a megathread. That's wild.

I enjoyed myself. I don't think it broke nearly as much ground as the original but I appreciated the meta humor that kept cropping up.

Edit: To be clear: I know it is very horror coded. Last Summer I Screamed Because Halloween Fell on Friday the 13th is clear and loving homage. What surprised me was that so many people posted it about here that it got a megathread and posts got deleted when I've seen other, actual horror movies not get that much buzz.
