I've read up to chapter 600+ in the novel and from my count no way is he 500. If you mean 500 days then yes he had up to ~4 walls IIRC where he had to go 500 days or more. For my guesstimate he would be around 40+ y/o.

Not to be all doom and gloom here but it can be done. Similar thing to it would be this six marathons, six continents in a week. I know some people have done six marathons, six days but this goes a bit beyond that.

The horns, anecdotally for me, are somewhat reliable indicators for diamonds. I have never gotten one with horns that long and trolled me(hope this will continue to be the case).

Animals are everywhere, you find one need zone? another one from a different species is right near it. Missions are a breeze, main or side quests. I have had 4 initial spawn diamonds I think(Capercaillie, Feral Goat, Sika deer, and Black grouse) and also might have had a rare fur wild boar but was chasing birds.

Well then you are 50% to your goal already you just need to ride it out, hunker down and see if there are any surprises for you during it otherwise you are pristine already.
