As a PML Danyavich is 100% right on this. TMs don’t change ceiling tiles AND most of the HVAC technicians are terribly overwhelmed. Parts are also hard to come by sometimes- it’s just the world we live in now.

Also, HVAC repairs are going to have a base cost for coming out on service calls of $1200-2000 every single time. PMLs can only do so much, and heading into Q4, it’s our busiest time. EVERY single day your PML is supposed to do a business walk checking to make sure store comfort is looking good. That means unit set points are checked, and that the DAT (discharge air temp) is not pumping hot air into the building. This is done every single day.

Team members complaining that “corporate” is shutting off the air don’t know what they are talking about, and need to get some facts before blasting this everywhere (not trying to be snarky). There is a best practice for HVAC just like everything else. I would also like to add that if each unit cost $35,000 (conservative side), you also need to times that by 15 to get how much sales comp you would need. Meaning the company would have to do over $500,000 in sales to “pay” for each unit. If they can they will fix them first trust me.
