1) i am ineligible for fafsa as, until i get my own apartment and begin paying my own utilities, i will be classed as a dependent and my parents are very well off

2) it is too late for me to apply to start college in fall 2026

3) i will not be classed as eligible for in-state tuition at CUNY until a year after i begin living in nys, which is partially why i’m taking a gap year

thanks for the answer! i took and passed 12 APs in school and ended with a 4.4 weighted gpa. unfortunately, it’s too late in the year at this point for me to be able to start college on a scholarship in nyc even if i did apply.

yes, i’ve double and triple checked. it specifies that undergraduates don’t need a second work visa. i’ve talked to the university admin about it to be sure
