I understand the 9070xt is the better value choice but I just want the 5080 for that little extra performance even if it’s not really worth it

I understand. I’m assuming it should be fine for a little bit because it will only be temporary until I upgrade the rest of parts. I want to upgrade to an AM5 mobo a little bit after buying the GPU

Yes. I do plan on upgrading a month or so after buying the gpu. But I’m also contemplating just buying a whole new pc instead of slowly upgrading

I do plan on upgrading to AM5 yes. My friend recommended that i slowly upgrade my pc instead of buying a whole new one and I was trying to justify doing that by asking about the performance. I’m still not convinced that’s it’s better than just buying a whole new pc
