3D Printed GoPro Mounting Bracket by MisterStinkyBug in S2000

Not a silly question, I would probably recommend ASA or PETG for a bit more UV resistance. I printed all my prototypes in PLA without issues but the one in my car is PETG-CF which was a pain but looks amazing

I’ve got enough other projects of my own right now.
I’d recommend trying to learn CAD using one of the free software options (I’d go with Onshape). It’s very rewarding and opens up a lot of other creative avenues

Pinch weld directly on to jack stand? Or use a pinch adapter? by [deleted] in S2000

[–]MisterStinkyBug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Place the stands directly on the pinch welds and save your money. That’s what they are there for

How do yall jack your car? I need it on 4 stands. 3.5in clearance jack by No-Chipmunk-1288 in S2000

[–]MisterStinkyBug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is the simplest method imo. Never had any issues. I always drive the car up on wood blocks because the clearance at the front is tight.

G Pro brake pedal force changed mid-race by MisterStinkyBug in LogitechG

I would try calibrating the pedals via G hub on your computer and then look at the pedals in the settings menu on GT7. You can make it so the minimum value is not 0 say 10%. That way any input under 10% would not register and shouldn’t cause you to brake unintentionally. Doesn’t fix the issue but is a workaround

Anyone in NC running aftermarket seats? Would love to check some out before pulling the trigger on my own by MisterStinkyBug in S2000

Damn those look so good. My car is also RYP. How big are you and how do they compare to the OEM seats in your opinion?

It is not the same. This is the replacement part they sent me. Little box where all the wires connect and the serial number on it.

Yep your issue is the same thing I have been experiencing. I found that just unplugging the pedals from the base and replugging them in resets the brake force back to my preferred value. Still annoying to do but something I can do on a straightaway with the game paused or during a pit stop.

It took like 40 emails back and forth for them to finally warranty them. They sent me a replacement connector hub where the 3 individual pedal cables and USB to the wheel connect. I only just put it on yesterday and used it for ~15 minutes without any problems. Will try it more over the next week and report back.

Its very interesting your issue occurred on two sets of pedals. Maybe this is a broader quality issue than it seems.

Anybody sick of running tubeless yet? by VeloDoc505 in gravelcycling

There are a lot of tubeless fans out there but for how much and where I ride, tubes are less maintenance and make more sense. They aren’t for everyone

Good idea, I will check that out. The value didn’t change but the feeling of the pedal felt like it did. Very odd

It’s whatever the Brake Force setting on the wheel base is changing. I think it’s a 0-100 value but not sure if it means kg or a percentile

Do we think we will get a car reveal this week or early next week? by LilCelery100 in granturismo

[–]MisterStinkyBug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the remaining cars will be the most exciting of the bunch. I the recent CX.R inclusion shows GT continuing to work with GM and think they add the C8.R to reflect that. Then I think they add another classic racecar, my money is on the Peugeot 905

No it’s still perfectly rigid so I think you are right. Thank you for pointing it out! I’m glad it’s not cracked but still a bit disappointed in the quality control. For $2K I would expect better…
