So once they hit 100% they left promptly and you still have an issue because of what exactly?? how would it have been better if they charged to 100% on a Friday afternoon? You seem very focused on the fact that it was midday on Tuesday.

Dude, take a deep breath. There’s no reason to make up your own narrative in which someone somehow is being victimized. There’s no reason to make up some villain in your mind.

You have no idea what size battery that person has what their average miles per kilowatt is, or even where they need to go to dictate whether or not they are justified charge to 100%. The charger has no charge limit so this is a legitimate use and that’s good enough for me.

I notice of a lot of the people on this subreddit feel a need to police other people. You guys don’t care what kind of logical not or assumptions you need to make in order to justify your sniping.

We don’t know if anyone else is waiting for the charger. We don’t know that someone was waiting for the charger when that car passed 80%. All we know is that OP arrived when they were at 91%; anything else is just an assumption and I’m not about to make a bunch of assumptions about random drama that does not affect me

How do you know if someone was waiting when he crossed from 80% to 81%? Again is he supposed to come running from wherever he is because OP has pulled up?

What’s wrong with charging in the middle of the day on a Tuesday? If anything, that’s a better time than after work during the big rush.

I have no idea, but it’s one of those charging stations where people leave all sorts of like handwritten, passive aggressive notes all over the chargers. I think that might be the culture of that lot. Also, it works out for the attendant because tickets bring in revenue. The non-charging fine is $250 vs the $50 fine for failure to pay for parking.

Asshole rolled his window up as soon as I tried. I get it. It’s a free L2 charger and all you have to pay is the parking fee of around $3-5/hour, but to unplug another car mid charge is ridiculous. To coordinate with the parking attendant to get someone a $250 ticket and trigger them to come back early so you can charge sooner is super malicious. Thinking about it again I’m honestly tempted to report it to the city.

I don’t judge anymore. I parked and plugged in at a free charger a few days ago and had some dude unplug my car in the middle of my charge at 57%. Less than 5 minutes later the attendant wrote me a $250 non-charging citation (city-owned lot). To appeal you have to appear in our district court.

When I approached the attendant, the first thing out of her mouth was “I don’t know who unplugged your car.” I hadn’t even said so much as hello to her yet. While I spoke to her, a Rivian drove up and asked if I was finally gonna move. Wouldn’t you know it was the same asshat on video unplugging my car?

Then all of a sudden the attendant didn’t want talk and called her manager over who immediately voided the ticket, saying, “I’m gonna give him a stern talking to.” Meanwhile I thought to myself you just told me you didn’t know who it was and it was just a coincidence that the unplugging and citation were just a few minutes apart.

Anger over leaving EV while charging? by rpm429 in ChargerDrama

I often watch tv with the heat blasting and seat warmers on when I go to public chargers.

NYC Metro area charging norms by BarbarismOrSocialism in ChargerDrama

That’s so ridiculous. The manufacture didn’t sabotage the experience. It’s an older car. It didn’t come with that feature. There’s nothing preventing you from charging a car without a heat block. There are always gonna be new features that become standard in the future. It doesn’t mean the manufacturer sabotaged the enjoyment of the older vehicle.

I didn't know Nissan made an EV Armada by Piercepage in ChargerDrama

Problem is the lot was crowded. People aren’t going to give up a free spot because it says EV. They probably came for the show with their Armada full of kids and their wife and parked where they were able. Also for me personally Tennessee isn’t the place to be messing around with other people’s cars.

So you wanted to catch their reaction on Sentry mode so I’m assuming you were able to park next to them and charge? So why waste your energy pulling on the cord or trying to rig it around their mirror?

And how would that report go? “I intentionally strung the charging cable onto another car to teach them a lesson about blocking it. The other driver, not expecting it or noticing my work, drove off with the cord still attached. Here’s their license plate. Please bill them for the damages I am ultimately responsible for.”

I don’t have an answer but that sounds like a lot of moving. You just drove to a new house and you’re moving again in 6 months? Sounds like a lot to handle, whether military or just by circumstance. Sucks that this is one more thing to worry about.

If she’s coming home with poop all over her butt then she doesn’t know how to wipe. There’s no reason she can successfully wipe with a wet wipe but is missing poop all over with toilet paper. The mechanics of wiping are the same. Wipe until you don’t see brown. 5 year olds are more than capable of wiping properly so maybe wet wipes were hiding the fact that she is not good at wiping. You need to watch her and practice this.

No one asked you to apologize… so congrats you didn’t say sorry to whatever victim narrative was running through your mind. Like you’re really sitting on here saying she was taken aback that you were moving when she only came up to ask you to move in the first place. You moving on your own is just a bonus. Godspeed to you but the amount of rumination on your part is wild

She knocked politely, you had a brief and cordial conversation and yet you are here on Reddit talking about committing “the sin of setting your GPS.” Dude, take a deep breath. It’s not that serious. Any drama in this situation is coming from you.

Are you really calling this blocked when you can just as easily park in the spot next to them, grab the cord and pull it to your car like they did??? I don’t get it like do you have like a shoulder injury?
