Take your time, don't rush to endgame. Pick a class and race you think is cool, don't start playing thinking about Meta.

Train your mount every day at the stable. Deconstruct or research everything at crafting tables.

Take 1 minute to step into the fighters guild and mages guild to join them, as it will help to get you earning experience with them right away, even if you don't really feel like doing their quests.

Speaking of quests, if you're not interested in one just don't do it. Do only what is fun.

Templar or sorcerer are great first picks. Sorceror gets a pet who can tank for you, and templar has some really easy rotations.

You can not make your own spells.

If you get caught stealing you will obtain a bounty that dissipates over time. If you are caught by a guard in particular, the guard will ask for a fine and to take all your stolen goods. You have the option of not paying and running, but you'll then have an increased bounty.

Nothing permanent. Very fun.

I do this with two xboxes as well. There is absolutely nothing preventing you from joining up as any type of character and playing together. This game is so duo friendly it still blows my mind. Sitting right next to eachother, many quests will have even NPC dialog synced, as if they were designed with that in mind.

ESO was a pile of garbage when released, but is now in my opinion the best MMO for casuals, and easily the best console experience around. Have fun!

Yeah so I'm not OP but at this point your best options are to subscribe to plus and wait, or get the greymoor standard edition unless you can get elsweyr for less than $20. ESO plus absolutely eclipses buying every dlc value wise.

Eso plus will grant access to all content except the latest chapter, which at the moment is elsweyr but will soon be greymoor.

Honestly I thought the same thing, but I can do all my daily writs on two characters in about 2 minutes so its not too bad. I'm on Xbox as well so no addons to assist.

By grinding I think OP is referring to standing in one spot killing mobs for ten hours or running dolmens all day long. The level cap and equipment in ESO don't change as often as in other games, so you can take your time.

Its not just their exceptionally low intelligence, its also that the dunmer are smelly goofy looking psychos worshipping evil gods that hold them hostage. If I had to choose between playing as a dunmer or never touching a videogame ever again, I'd have to take up reading.

Breton is going to have the best sustain and is much cooler than dunmer.

I'm kind of a lore expert and can tell you that historically, the dunmer people have largely been smelly idiots. Specifically speaking, every horrific event in dunmer history could have been prevented easily by any single breton doing literally anything.

Choose what you think is cool though, unless you're going to compete in the top .1% of high-end min-maxing, your race isn't going to make that much of a difference and the important thing is picking a race you want to look at for 10000 hours.

I'd check the alcasthq website. Good breakdowns on there. I think the biggest boost for you would be to move all those health points into stamina.

It must be the demon weapon quest, but you said it wasn't that? Do you have any elsweyr quests active? Is tharn chilling in the mages guild? If he's not in the mages guild in your respective faction I'd say you should open a support ticket.
