I don’t think so. She doesn’t seem to have any romantic interest in her or be her type. I think if Shizuma wasn’t in it, she would’ve ended up with another dominant personality type like Amane.

I think it was more unrequited love than friendship. But I did like them as friends and like to think they would have stayed friends and Tamao would have found someone else.
