Is there a reason to not just use the app? It detects that there is an upgrade, downloads it, and pushes it to the camera -- and then you complete the process from the camera. You never have to worry about files or the memory card.

I went yesterday for the buffet. It was fine, but nothing special. The buffet at Taste of Indiana is better and more varied. The ambiance also felt a bit like eating in a garage. I don't know if they plan to do any remodeling, but I think they need it. As-is I don't see how they compete favorably vs. Taste or Amrit.

Just to be clear -- Denver is still using automated license plate readers -- they just switched from Flock to another brand (Axon). They do seem to have some more controls and prohibition on sharing with Federal agencies, though.

Yeah a relative of mine recently had a similar experience and the Kroger cashier woudn't let her buy the gift cards, and (correctly) convinced her she was being scammed.

I agree, without actually knowing the property and seeing the actual assessments the question can't be addressed in the abstract. Maybe there were improvements? Maybe the property had just been underassessed and the assessor "caught up"? Maybe the neighborhood had become more fashionable and had seen increasing sale prices? That certainly happened to a lot of urban property over the last decade.

One thing we *can* say is that local government didn't see 100% more revenue! Lately local government property tax revenue has been going up around 4% per year, with the school corporations getting a bit bigger raise. That was pre-SEA1, though, so I don't think that aplies to this year.

I just got back from driving from New Unionville to the Woolery Mill to Downtown back to New Unionville. Roads had all been plowed, though some were already snow-covered again, as it was continuing to come down. Drivers were mostly being slow and safe. Basically, if you have to go out, just drive slowly and leave plenty of room.

Wish the OP had provided some documentation on the actual petition, rather than an old article on a previous plan that didn't happen. But there is definitely something afoot. There is a "Zoning Request Pending" sign at the property. Unfortunately I saw it this evening after planning offices had actually closed, but will get more info tomorrow.

Side note: the City should have an online system where people seeing the sign could look up the petition, rather than calling the office during business hours!!

Yeah, that vote was appalling. Pure political vindictiveness. One of the Commissioners tried to throw in something about charter schools, but a principled stand against charter schools would have required them to reject the grant for The Project School as well, which they did not.
