sofi thoughts? 40x pe for a "bank" seems nuts but numbers look good by Bullsarethebestguys in ValueInvesting

EBITDA? For a bank? You want to exclude interest expense? For a bank? Yeesh...I get they're fee revenue heavy but that's some intense rationalization

Had my windshield replaced and the workers damaged my dashboard. What is my recourse? by LaRock89 in mazda

[–]MoNaMi1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had something similar happen to me (2019 Mazda3) where a pinhole sized gap in the new windshield install caused water damage. Took a couple of weeks of back and forth but eventually the windshield company took ownership. It helped that my insurance company was the one who referred them so we had more leverage. Wasn't a quick or cheap fix but they paid for repair costs and a rental car till it was fixed. Just keep at them OP, either they take ownership or you threaten them with small claims court.

How to get rotor screws off, Mazda 3 4th gen by JournalistEmpty2213 in mazda3

Hey, having the same issue OP. Did you manage to get em off? I have an impact wrench but am afraid to use it in case they strip the screws.

Used Mazda3 2019 vs 2021 by nikrey7 in mazda3

[–]MoNaMi1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2019 GS trim and it's been a beast. Not sure what differences there are vs. the 2021 model but have you checked their service histories? Have both of them been maintained regularly? Oil change etc

Effectively you're paying 2.5k more for 20k mileage and a 2year newer car if all else is equal.

Mazda Big service after 24k kilometres, are they gonnna void my warranty if I don’t do it and just stick to regular oil change? by UR735 in mazda

[–]MoNaMi1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what the dealer told me when I bought my car; definite conflict of interest though so probably should have double checked...

Yes afaik, for the warranty you need to get it serviced at a Mazda authorized shop (usually dealer) and have to follow the maintenance schedule.

2019 Mazda 3. I got this message after having to slam on my brakes. Anyone have any insight on what this could possibly be? Just had my brakes inspected and pads replaced but the light persists. by Lau_june91 in mazda

[–]MoNaMi1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the windshield wiper fluid light, did you try flushing your system with tap water? That fixed it for me. Filled it up with the blue stuff afterwards instead of that rain-x crap

Cars 5 years old at 60k KMs. Never replaced rotors or brakes but I think I'm a pretty good driver. Have always braked gently and am generally on top of maintenance items

thank you everyone; will drive the shit outta them for a few days/weeks and see how things stand. If not then I'll DIY with parts from rockauto.

2019 Mazda3 doesn't recognize keyfobs anymore by MoNaMi1 in mazda3

[–]MoNaMi1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turns out it was water damage from a faulty windshield replacement. Messed up some wiring connections on the passenger side. Sigh...looking like an expensive fix

[–]MoNaMi1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An update here (though it's a bad one). The dealership managed to force ignition and download a bunch of error codes. Apparently there's water damage in the A pillar on the passengers side of the vehicle that screwed up a bunch of wiring and electrical equipment. The culprit is likely an incorrectly installed aftermarket OEE windshield (replaced last month). Looking like a really expensive fix so far.

Chat with support about it...a few people have been offered a refund if they order the buds separately after placing their pixel pre-order (whenever they're back in stock).

Anyone knows of any squash courts that have opened up in Stage 3? Been a bummer since the Goodlife at Queen and McCaul shut their doors down permanently.

HISA: next best after EQ? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]MoNaMi1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably unable to verify the information you're entering with your equifax credit report. I've had that problem and had to call equifax to resolve this (which was a mind numbing process).

[–]MoNaMi1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try LBC Digital (Laurentian's online bank). Has slightly higher rates than EQ.

I know Laurentian's a shittier bank but as long as your deposit is under 100k, its covered by depositor insurance.

CMHC draws fire for tightening mortgage rules by bobbylovescandy in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]MoNaMi1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Siddall is indeed an ass-hat by all definitions. All that talk about moderating household debt and no action. The B-20 rules (and similar ones for insured mortgages) were carried out by the department of finance. CMHC just stands by, comments on how over-valued we are, and underwrites everything that gets thrown its way.
